A "KVM" switch stands for "keyboard, video, and mouse." It is a simple and rather cheap (less than $50) device that both of the computers plug into. Then, there is a plug for the video and speakers. With one punch of the button, you can switch from one computer to the other but use the same screen, speakers, headset ect. All it amounts to is a plug and play action - NO software.

Some offices link 4-6 computers together with one screen and simply push the buttons for which computer they want to use at the time.

Mine only handles analog video but the pricier ones handle digital.

MY eyes can't tell the difference.

I got mine from Newegg.com but they can be found elsewhere.

I only have about 10-12 more days left to grab videos for you guys.... :(

I wanna say thanks NL. You have posted so much stuff, more than anyone else that I've seen. As someone said before, you have become an icon, a Nora specialist to which I fully agree. Your commitment and dedication to this forum should not go un-noticed. Since I've been here I've seen so much content because of you, most I wouldn't have seen otherwise.

Good work brother member.... 8)
