They are not normal individuals as we know it. Paul has no redeeming qualities -someone or something that is entirely negative, lacking any positive attributes or traits that could offset their flaws or shortcomings. It suggests a complete absence of anything good or admirable. Leora on the other hand, makes questionable personal life decisions while being a caregiver and supports a leech (sponges off Leora) who offers nothing to Leora or her enjoyment of life. The word "love" does not apply to this unorthodox pairing. If Leora didn't have the "good looks" she would never have lasted this long on RLC. The dislike for Paul is because of how shitty a person he is and how actually cold, lazy, stunned, useless and how unaffectionate he is towards Leora. Leora controls and does all the work during the sex between them and required to drain the swamp (Paul's stinky, cheesy, moldy cock).
