They (or at least Vivi & Vira) did at least once after a while, carefully. But perhaps whoever it was, was already gone by then?... ...A deranged "fan", perhaps?... Totally agree with what you've said but I try not to think about this sort of thing, however still possible of course. I'll just put it down to the walls are thin so everything can be heard. Perhaps there's a young family residing next door and all they could hear is the girls yapping and laughing during what would mostly be a very quiet period at night as it was very late. That or the person knocking didn't knock earlier and was passed the 'I'll be nice, until it's time not to be nice' period ...and just lost it 😬
