We both live in Europe, and we use the same RLC servers, which are located on our continental, not necessarily in Europe. It is possible that between your ISP and part of the RLC servers had problems in internet backbone. I had a very similar problems a few months ago. About every fifth try I got working connection to RLC server, where the route did not go through the congested point in the internet backbone. That problem point was located 2000 km distance from me, in Vodafone's network in Frankfurt. That was very infuriating, because usually those problems occured at evenings during a couple of weeks. I'll try using some different DNS server and see if that clears up the cam freezing issue. I can't see any reason why DNS server change can help you. You have previously told you have a VPN connection available? If it allows your connection pass through a different ISP than your own, it might help. The more people viewing an apartment, the more freezing. You probably notice if they are sitting around dressed it works fine, but as soon as they strip it freezes. When they sit, there is just a very little data traffic from RLC to your computer and the probability of losing a data packet in certain time period is low, and the effects of data packet lost are not even visible. When there is lot of movement in picture, amount of data packets per second might be even 50 times higher. In addition, due to the nature of the real time video compression, data packet loss have much more visible consequences. Servers that share the video streams are not dedicated to specific apartments, but all of them distribute video from all cameras.
