rubberball50 Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 I think that RB50 is the only good newbie out of at least the last thousand or so. Good posts, writes in English, knows how to put together complete sentences and damn, I'm just amazed. Thank you, tbg150. I'm glad you're amazed. :D
Foamy T. Squirrel Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 It's also nice that you started off your posting without profanities, name-calling and being hostile to other members. How refreshing. You have now been blessed by the Mods and now are protected by the Mighty Banhammer.
rubberball50 Posted April 12, 2015 Author Posted April 12, 2015 woodworker: as much as I enjoyed your 'Riders in the Sky' post, seeing/hearing Burl Ives never fails to remind me of one particular song... and if I have to have it stuck in my mind for the rest of the day, I think I should share it with you... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N0LeF_tZD8Q and yes... I am not a fan of Christmas songs. :)
woodworker Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Well here's one for you that I once posted for my illustrious friend, Mr. Squirrel. Hope you like it.
rubberball50 Posted April 14, 2015 Author Posted April 14, 2015 Something different... something with no connection to a certain Christmas song.
woodworker Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 Duane Eddie! Peter Gunn! The guys and I used to play that song good and loud as we fortified ourselves with this stuff I called "Ghost Water", just before we'd head out. And we threw a party for one of the guys, Al Baron, when he finally got back from Vietnam. And with a wry smile on his face, the very first thing he said to me was.. "Have got any more of that Ghost Water?" That stuff I concocted was pretty tough, just like us. A lot memories tied to that one. Thank you Rubberball! PS. I'm playing it now, good and loud!
