Robbo56
why do they still have there Christmas decoration in febuary? can someone clear me up? Simple answer - most of the RLC residents lead busy lives with a hectic work and social schedule. Because of their productive high-performance lifestyle they hardly have time to even check email, let alone clean up Christmas trees. I'm sure that most if not all do have a Christmas cleanup scheduled in their calendars as soon as they can
Foamy T. Squirrel
Nina & Kira are employed in the celebration and holiday decoration business. The tree is also just a fun thing for them to have; their grandparents would probably have been hauled away to the labor/concentration camps in Siberia (Krasnoyarsk was home to a large gulag, incidentally) if they had enjoyed Christmas festivities. Although I doubt Nina & Kira are religiously devout, the Eastern Orthodox Churches start and end Christmas later because they follow the Julian calendar. Ilona & Danaya have a different situation. Their tree came with their hotel suite, erected by RLC staff. The girls probably don't know where the storage boxes are, or where to put it away when it's all packed up. It's not theirs, so they don't care. It's like the sofa or the TV. House property. Think of this place as a bed and breakfast; you simply don't alter it as you would your own home. TBG 150
I solved the problem of taking down a tree years ago. I don't waste the time by putting it up in the first place. How ridiculous is it to spend $50+ on a tree that you'll toss on a trash pile in a month? I can think of a lot better ways to spend $50.
Guest wolf1111
In Russia, Christmas trees are called New Year's trees. So they put them up a bit later than us. They should undo them pretty soon. Also christmas day is on January 7th, but there is also the "Old new year" on January 14. January is FULL of holidays so they keep the Xmas tree longer.
