The very first version of the CS trilogy. the first picture is before the "coffee provence" (Прованс, кафе) to Krasnoyarsk in Siberia I believe, like most CC people do, that they live in Krasnoyarsk. But the clock tower in Leora's painting looks nothing like the main clock tower in Krasnoyarsk. I believe it to be in Irkutsk. This is not unthinkable; both cities are along the "main drag" so-to-speak -- they are neighbors along the Trans-Siberian Railway. Leora certainly has visited there or possibly lived there. And now I have frittered away a hour examining Google Earth street views of both towns, and can't find the clock towers in either town. It's also possible that Leora's picture is strictly fictional. :-\

Yuri
I haven't been around here for a while but the detective work required to locate this couple got me intrigued so I started searching for clues and took me around half an hoyr to locate them. It looks like they are living in Krasnoyarsk. The "Cafe Provans" of Leora's picture is indeed there and by the clothes she's wearing at home and at the cafe picture I assume she's not living far from that place. The cafe website is no longer online but I foud the address in here: (EDITED) There is the address of the cafe so it can be searched on Google maps and the result is this: (Posting of Images that can Identify RLC Tenants Address is Strictly Prohibited. The Image has been removed). You can see the white fence between these two other bussiness at the front of the street. I hope this info helped to clarify where they live. Guest Squirrel
Haven't been there since 2003. For every nice London Bobby there were 12 fully combat armed troops covering the House of Parliament. (NYSE was that way, too, at the time). The fish and chips were terrific. The coffee, well, it was hit-or-miss. I think there's no question that they live in Krasnoyarsk; that L&P live in the same apartment complex as Maya & Stepen; and that it's noisy as hell, all of which has been decided long ago. And now we know with certainty that Leora does refer to her computer to get ideas for her artwork.

Guest Squirrel
More detective work required? OK, so which side of the river do L&P and M&S live on???? I ask this because Lina & Mark have been seen eating KFC. There are two KFC's in Krasnoyarsk proper; one on the north side, and one on the south. Personally, if I wanted a bucket of KFC, I wouldn't drive across a river if there was one on my side. And hell, we don't know if ANY RLC people even own cars. I wouldn't take public transit, either, just to pick up a bucket of fried chicken. (Newbies: We know that Lina, Mark, and Maya are hair-dressers. They are all friends; Lina and Mark probably got Maya and Stepan installed in that apartment when E&A moved out. Futhermore, Leora & Paul now inhabit Lina and Mark's old apartment, and that the two apartments are very close to one another. I have no reason to believe that Leora & Paul are friends with the others, however, and in fact, I don't think they have a huge number of friends or family.) Hence, it's possible that the apartment complex for L&P and M&S are located near 1) a KFC, and 2) a hair salon. So, on which side of the river?
