About Alex and the girls: Anna is very certain of Alex staying with her. She also understands that Alex like many men has a problem with losing his independency and therefore shows him a few times a day that he is hers, builds herself a good relation with the girls and in between gives him some space to feel himself a 'free man'. I doubt even whether she would be very shocked when Alex had a little adventure with one or both of these girls, if that would improve his self-esteem.
