  1. Keith Emerson was mastering a blow torch while other keyboardists were still rubbing sticks together. Wakeman wasn't far behind.
  2. Next week will be fun. Should we open a new thread to talk about the election?
  3. You mods need to play too. You all should and you all do. It doesn't mean we'll agree with you on unmoderated threads. You have a job to do (and I don't understand why you would volunteer for that with no pay but I'm sure you have a reason.) I've butted heads with all of you on the unmoderated threads and it sure as hell won't change going forward. I respect the job you guys do on the girl's threads though. We'll all talk real soon late Tuesday night or Wednesday morning after the election. And I'm a huge Bugs Bunny fan! Go Bugs! Who is Wile E. here? I think I know. Do you?
  4. It's all good Foamy. Pecans and Scotch and Beer and Cheetos. And Bugs. Move it where it needs to be, it's all good. I digressed a bit.
  5. Somehow, I prefer the old Bugs Bunny cartoons. I think they're safe. Nice choice, I agree they're safe. This is my favorite one for any of you that have a spare 21 minutes to watch this. I haven't quite figured out who is Bugs or Wile E though. Maybe you can help me with that. Or not.
  6. It would never be a big money maker though Foamey. CSpan shows the actual feeds live which negates opinions and the "Fake News" claims. Trolling for dollars could work on this site though. The feed would then be open to interpretation, biases, idiocy, or ignorance. It could be a real money maker. It's just something to think about. If it's a good idea it's just a matter of working the problem. Foamey, I'll team up with you if you're all in.
  7. What a brilliant new thread? You should be proud. You actually thought it out and decided to teach us a new word, shoat. Nice job. I love to be educated, but like most of us totally hate ignorance or indifference. That's just my thought and I'm sure I'm wrong. Tell my why, but be Happy while you do it if that's possible. That would mirror the spirit of my post.
  8. Harley, I said before I saw a quote that said music is medicine of the mind. When things aren't so good crank your music the hell up! That's how I roll. It always works for me. You should try it. New meds are always something new. You'll be fine. Just crank your music up and listen to your favorite songs. It's all good if you let it be.
  9. I agree. Who are your favorite musicians and what instruments did they play? And is it rock and roll? Maybe this should be a new thread though?
  10. Si is Spying? I'm trying to decipher your post. It's a bit of a reach for us ignorant folks here though. Beto O'Rourke is live right now. I won't go there though since it's off topic. Take care my man, this is a music thread.
  11. Who are you replying to? I'm confused. What the hell does this have to do with musical posts my friend? Is this off topic or not?
  12. Sorry guys, I'm a little late to the party. I scrolled back but maybe not far enough. Is Nil gone or just not there?
  13. A typical response from you. It was a civil request. Respect the music my friend and spew your hatred in another thread if you must, but not here. Is that too much to ask? I'll spar with you elsewhere if need be.
  14. Why are you a hater? Chill dude, express your opinion appropriately and if you can't move on. Don't politicize this tread though please. There are other threads to talk about politics. Do it there but not here though. Agree? This thread is about music, not politics. You're a musician. Please respect that.
  15. How about Carl Palmer for best drummer? This is from 1970. The amazing thing is he got better going forward. Keith Emerson playing an upside down keyboard and stabbing it near the end? Is this rock and roll, or only children playing with noise (a Stevie Winwood lyric)? I vote yes. I just found this nugget a little while ago and wanted to share it.
  16. Close to the edge was so awesome. It was better yet live. Rick Wakeman 's first live album was "Journey to the Center of the Earth": I have it on vinyl but it's a little scratchy. Unfortunately that's what happened with LPs back then unless you where totally anal. No one I knew was though. Scratches and skips were acceptable to my crowd.
  17. My favorite drummers are Keith Moon (Moon the Loon) and John Bonham (Bonzo). Is Neil Pearl better? I guess I need to google him. Checking it out now.
  18. So cool Ash. Keith Emerson was pretty damn good too. I can't decide between them. Awesome is always awesome I think.
  19. Do you really think Elton John is the best keyboardist?
  20. It's all good Harley. Sorry Amy, I unintentionally hijacked your thread. Please forgive me. I saw ELP and YES with Wakeman many times back in the day. Manzareck was amazing with the technology they had at the time. The Moog just came out back then and Keith Emerson mastered it and owned it. How good would they all be now if they had the ability to play today's technology? I'm still waiting for your reply TBG about who is the best keyboardist in your opinion though.
  21. Just curious TBG. Who is the best keyboardist? Keith Emerson was pretty awesome in my opinion. The same for Rick Wakeman. Sorta going off topic here though.
  22. Good night my man. Tomorrow is another day. You hate group think? That's idiotic. You are the epitome of group think. Later!
  23. This is ignorant. Go to bed Ridge. Maybe tomorrow you'll talk intelligently? I doubt it but I'm always hopeful for you. Later my man.
  24. Never mind, I stand corrected. Change is hard for some.
