Well then I will stand corrected, but the Chinese and Russian numbers are skewed and we all know that. They do not report to the WHO the true accurate numbers. Lets just do the EU and USA shall we The EU =332,436 to date cases of Infection...Deaths = 20,589 to date currently=6.19% The US =123,311 to date cases of infection...Deaths = 2,211 to date currently=1.79% Both health care systems have failed the people of both the EU and USA, but it appears to be much more significant in the Universal healthcare systems of the EU than it is in the US health care capitolistic health care system. What is very encouraging is the recovery rate of the critical patients requiring healthcare intervention. 21.35% currently to date worldwide. That should give everyone hope the very best medical professionals and very best of research and development scientist are working very hard to help all of the people of the world. 4,422,773 km2. EU... 513 million population. Infections per capita = .064% 9,826,630 km2. USA..... 327 million population. Infections per capita = .037% Because the EU is so densely populated compared to the USA a person stands twice the chance to be infected currently to date. -

Here is the US the infection rate is pretty even in all of age groups above 18 years of age, but the death rate of course is most prevalent in those who are age 60 or older with immune systems that are challenged to defeat the virus. -

I agree that it is not reached its peak here. The Italian outbreak has been traced to a 38-year-old man who sought treatment at a hospital in Codogno, near Milan, on Feb. 18, where he infected dozens of patients and medical staff. An ongoing worldwide pandemic of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), a new infectious disease caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 , was first confirmed to have spread to the United States in January 2020. Cases have been confirmed in all fifty U.S. states, the District of Columbia How did the coronavirus start? The outbreak began in Wuhan, China - a city with a population of over 11 million. The virus is believed to have originated from a "wet market" where animals such as bats, snakes, rabbit and birds are illegally sold. Humans as well as animals - both living and dead - are put together in close contact in wet markets in often unhygienic conditions. As the coronavirus is known to be transferred from animals to humans, it is believed market stallholders, who came into contact with animals were the first people infected with the strain. A 61-year-old frequent shopper at the wet market was the first person to die from the virus. Shortly after the spread of the disease, officials in China imposed a nationwide ban on the buying and selling of wild animals in markets, restaurants and other retail places. Although experts are yet to identify the animal source of the virus, bats are widely believed to be the original hosts. -

I am a registered independent. Using your analogy currently one city in the US represents 44% of the overall death rate and one state represents 34% of all infections in the US to date. That same city only represents 2.61% of the population of the US. Once again you must quit believing all the MEDIA BS as it is mostly fictional and their opinions, and not proven scientifically or numerically. -

I just have one question, How is it the Italian, Spanish, German, UK and France, Iran, and even though the lying Chinese and Russian reports, as they haven't changed for over month now. All have Universal healthcare for all. These countries all have the highest actual death per capita. How well is it working for their better than US healthcare systems ? US 327 million people 1711 deaths 104671 cases, death rate = 1.6% percent infection .032% infection per captia EU 513 million people 19375 deaths 213862 cases, death rate = 9.0% percent infection .041% infection per capita. In terms of landmass, the United States and Europe are similar in size —the United States is 9,833,000 square kilometers while Europe is 10,180,000 square kilometers I may have missed a few of the countries belonging to EU, but the numbers don't lie, the above statements simply can not be proven numerically, which makes it typical post of opinions that has been educated by the Media, instead of Science and Math. Just one of my opinions of the many failures of the universal healthcare systems. BTW, Alandino what about the EU Rapid Response team and Epidemic Response teams, how well did they do ? -

This is from a friend of from High School: The reports are that the truckers are getting supplies to the stores. People are stocking the shelves all night and letting old people shop first. Carnival Cruise line told Trump “We can match those big Navy Hospital ships with some fully staffed cruise ships” GM said hold our cars and watch this; we can make those ventilators where we were making cars starting next week. Women and children are making homemade masks and handing out snacks to truckers. Restaurants and schools said, We’ve got kitchens and staff; we can feed kids.” Churches are holding on-line services and taking care of their members and community. NBA basketball players said, “Hold our basketballs while we write checks to pay the arena staff.” Construction companies said, “Here are some masks for the medical staff and doctors”. Breweries are making sanitizer out of the left-over ingredients. We thought we couldn’t live without Baseball, NASCAR, NBA or going to the beach, restaurants or a bar. Instead, we’re trying to keep those businesses open by ordering take-out. You’ve got two Democrat Governors getting told “We will make it happen” by a Republican President who has fought with them for three and half years. While the media keeps repeating itself, “We are a nation divided.” What communist China didn't count on was America saying "Hey, hold my beer and watch this." I think a Japanese Admiral in the middle of the Pacific said it best in 1941, "I think we have awakened a sleeping giant." Give us a few more weeks (maybe months) and we will be doing much better! And stop listening to the hysterical media!! -

Scientists say the coronavirus is not mutating quickly and might respond to a single vaccine Scientists studying the novel coronavirus' genetic code say it does not appear to be mutating quickly, suggesting any vaccine developed for it will likely remain effective in the long term. Peter Thielen, a molecular geneticist at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory, told The Washington Post that the strains of the virus infecting people in the U.S. have only about four to 10 genetic variations between the strain that emerged in Wuhan, China. "That's a relatively small number of mutations for having passed through a large number of people," he told the newspaper. "At this point the mutation rate of the virus would suggest that the vaccine developed for SARS-CoV-2 would be a single vaccine, rather than a new vaccine every year like the flu vaccine." -

In the US they gave New York city 70,000 doses of a Malaria drug Chloroquine and hydroxychloroquine 750,000 doses of the later: has been used for years and what is call a Z-pack Anti Biotic, together there has been really good results in limited trials, so the President along with his Administration pushed all the red tape aside so this trial could start today in New York City, the worst hit in the US so far. They are getting ready to try it in other areas in the US as well. As the world's heath experts race to find treatments -- and eventually, a cure -- for the novel coronavirus, two drugs have jumped to the front of the conversation: chloroquine and hydroxychloroquine. President Donald Trump has called the drugs, which are used to treat malaria and other conditions, game changers, and a rush to procure the pharmaceuticals spurred several US states to take measures to prevent shortages amid the Covid-19 pandemic. Your coronavirus questions answered New York moved to begin trials Tuesday, procuring 70,000 doses of hydroxychloroquine and 750,000 doses of chloroquine, Gov. Andrew Cuomo said. In addition Bayer, the drug maker, has donated 3 million doses of Resochin, its brand name for chloroquine, to the federal government. 'It's not going to kill anybody' The reason Trump lauds the drugs is because they've been shown, in labs, to be effective against severe acute respiratory syndrome coronaviruses -- including the SARS strain that causes Covid-19 -- as well as other coronaviruses, the CDC said. Hydroxychloroquine is being studied to determine if it can prevent the onset of Covid-19 before or after a patient is infected with the SARS coronavirus strain that causes it, and if it can be used to treat Covid-19 sufferers, the CDC said. https://www.cnn.com/2020/03/23/health/chloroquine-hydroxycholoroquine-drugs-explained/index.html -

What about Giuseppe Conti and Sergio Mattarella ? What about Pedro Sanchez ? What about Emanuel Macron and Edouard Phillipe ? What about Angela Merkle ? What about Boris Johnson ? there are many to blame other than the US for everything including our President. Lets run the numbers shall we ? United Kingdom, Spain, France, Italy, and Germany total population 320 million total # of cases 134,505 and deaths 8297 Unites States of America total population 327 million total # of cases 34,071 and deaths 431 You want to place blame then you must place it where it belongs on Communist China and how it suppressed the facts for too long, and ensuring that the virus would spread all over the world. One must never forget their goal of world dominance by 2030, -

Helen Davidson in Hong Kong Fri 13 Mar 2020 02.39 EDT Jonathan Mayer, professor emeritus at the University of Washington’s department of epidemiology, said it was “entirely conceivable” there were cases as early as mid-November. We know that there are reports of early suppression of reports of cases, and the ‘whistleblowers’ dealt with rather severely. It’s widely accepted, including by the head of China’s Center for Disease Control and Prevention that the virus originated in Hubei -

Official statements by the Chinese government to the World Health Organisation reported that the first confirmed case had been diagnosed on 8 December. Doctors who tried to raise the alarm with colleagues about a new disease in late December were reprimanded. Authorities did not publicly concede there was human-to-human transmission until 21 January. -
