I am a registered independent. Using your analogy currently one city in the US represents 44% of the overall death rate and one state represents 34% of all infections in the US to date. That same city only represents 2.61% of the population of the US. Once again you must quit believing all the MEDIA BS as it is mostly fictional and their opinions, and not proven scientifically or numerically. -

I just have one question, How is it the Italian, Spanish, German, UK and France, Iran, and even though the lying Chinese and Russian reports, as they haven't changed for over month now. All have Universal healthcare for all. These countries all have the highest actual death per capita. How well is it working for their better than US healthcare systems ? US 327 million people 1711 deaths 104671 cases, death rate = 1.6% percent infection .032% infection per captia EU 513 million people 19375 deaths 213862 cases, death rate = 9.0% percent infection .041% infection per capita. In terms of landmass, the United States and Europe are similar in size —the United States is 9,833,000 square kilometers while Europe is 10,180,000 square kilometers I may have missed a few of the countries belonging to EU, but the numbers don't lie, the above statements simply can not be proven numerically, which makes it typical post of opinions that has been educated by the Media, instead of Science and Math. Just one of my opinions of the many failures of the universal healthcare systems. BTW, Alandino what about the EU Rapid Response team and Epidemic Response teams, how well did they do ? -

This is from a friend of from High School: The reports are that the truckers are getting supplies to the stores. People are stocking the shelves all night and letting old people shop first. Carnival Cruise line told Trump “We can match those big Navy Hospital ships with some fully staffed cruise ships” GM said hold our cars and watch this; we can make those ventilators where we were making cars starting next week. Women and children are making homemade masks and handing out snacks to truckers. Restaurants and schools said, We’ve got kitchens and staff; we can feed kids.” Churches are holding on-line services and taking care of their members and community. NBA basketball players said, “Hold our basketballs while we write checks to pay the arena staff.” Construction companies said, “Here are some masks for the medical staff and doctors”. Breweries are making sanitizer out of the left-over ingredients. We thought we couldn’t live without Baseball, NASCAR, NBA or going to the beach, restaurants or a bar. Instead, we’re trying to keep those businesses open by ordering take-out. You’ve got two Democrat Governors getting told “We will make it happen” by a Republican President who has fought with them for three and half years. While the media keeps repeating itself, “We are a nation divided.” What communist China didn't count on was America saying "Hey, hold my beer and watch this." I think a Japanese Admiral in the middle of the Pacific said it best in 1941, "I think we have awakened a sleeping giant." Give us a few more weeks (maybe months) and we will be doing much better! And stop listening to the hysterical media!! -

Scientists say the coronavirus is not mutating quickly and might respond to a single vaccine Scientists studying the novel coronavirus' genetic code say it does not appear to be mutating quickly, suggesting any vaccine developed for it will likely remain effective in the long term. Peter Thielen, a molecular geneticist at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory, told The Washington Post that the strains of the virus infecting people in the U.S. have only about four to 10 genetic variations between the strain that emerged in Wuhan, China. "That's a relatively small number of mutations for having passed through a large number of people," he told the newspaper. "At this point the mutation rate of the virus would suggest that the vaccine developed for SARS-CoV-2 would be a single vaccine, rather than a new vaccine every year like the flu vaccine." -

In the US they gave New York city 70,000 doses of a Malaria drug Chloroquine and hydroxychloroquine 750,000 doses of the later: has been used for years and what is call a Z-pack Anti Biotic, together there has been really good results in limited trials, so the President along with his Administration pushed all the red tape aside so this trial could start today in New York City, the worst hit in the US so far. They are getting ready to try it in other areas in the US as well. As the world's heath experts race to find treatments -- and eventually, a cure -- for the novel coronavirus, two drugs have jumped to the front of the conversation: chloroquine and hydroxychloroquine. President Donald Trump has called the drugs, which are used to treat malaria and other conditions, game changers, and a rush to procure the pharmaceuticals spurred several US states to take measures to prevent shortages amid the Covid-19 pandemic. Your coronavirus questions answered New York moved to begin trials Tuesday, procuring 70,000 doses of hydroxychloroquine and 750,000 doses of chloroquine, Gov. Andrew Cuomo said. In addition Bayer, the drug maker, has donated 3 million doses of Resochin, its brand name for chloroquine, to the federal government. 'It's not going to kill anybody' The reason Trump lauds the drugs is because they've been shown, in labs, to be effective against severe acute respiratory syndrome coronaviruses -- including the SARS strain that causes Covid-19 -- as well as other coronaviruses, the CDC said. Hydroxychloroquine is being studied to determine if it can prevent the onset of Covid-19 before or after a patient is infected with the SARS coronavirus strain that causes it, and if it can be used to treat Covid-19 sufferers, the CDC said. https://www.cnn.com/2020/03/23/health/chloroquine-hydroxycholoroquine-drugs-explained/index.html -

What about Giuseppe Conti and Sergio Mattarella ? What about Pedro Sanchez ? What about Emanuel Macron and Edouard Phillipe ? What about Angela Merkle ? What about Boris Johnson ? there are many to blame other than the US for everything including our President. Lets run the numbers shall we ? United Kingdom, Spain, France, Italy, and Germany total population 320 million total # of cases 134,505 and deaths 8297 Unites States of America total population 327 million total # of cases 34,071 and deaths 431 You want to place blame then you must place it where it belongs on Communist China and how it suppressed the facts for too long, and ensuring that the virus would spread all over the world. One must never forget their goal of world dominance by 2030, -

Helen Davidson in Hong Kong Fri 13 Mar 2020 02.39 EDT Jonathan Mayer, professor emeritus at the University of Washington’s department of epidemiology, said it was “entirely conceivable” there were cases as early as mid-November. We know that there are reports of early suppression of reports of cases, and the ‘whistleblowers’ dealt with rather severely. It’s widely accepted, including by the head of China’s Center for Disease Control and Prevention that the virus originated in Hubei -

Official statements by the Chinese government to the World Health Organisation reported that the first confirmed case had been diagnosed on 8 December. Doctors who tried to raise the alarm with colleagues about a new disease in late December were reprimanded. Authorities did not publicly concede there was human-to-human transmission until 21 January. -

This why you can not trust China, just think of how many people would be alive today if they were like all other countries in the world that don't try hide everything bad. Just think how prepared all of the other countries suffering so bad could have ramped up in preparation. This really is a China virus and yes they are most certainly responsible for what is happening around the world, let us not forget that OK !!! -

First Covid-19 case happened in November, China government records show - report Earliest case detected on 17 November, weeks before authorities acknowledged new virus, says Chinese media The first case of someone suffering from Covid-19 can be traced back to 17 November, according to media reports on unpublished Chinese government data. The report, in the South China Morning Post, said Chinese authorities had identified at least 266 people who contracted the virus last year and who came under medical surveillance, and the earliest case was 17 November – weeks before authorities announced the emergence of the new virus. The Chinese government was widely criticised over attempts to cover up the outbreak in the early weeks, including crackdowns on doctors who tried to warn colleagues about a new Sars-like virus which was emerging in the city of Wuhan in Hubei province. -
ed, I was on State championship debate team in high school. I enjoy a good honest discussion of differing views on a subject. I do not in any way take it personal. You are of course right, that we see things quite differently, but at the same time our goals, desires, and wants for the people of our countries are very much alike actually. ed our biggest differences are very simple. You are a firm believer in socialism, not that it is like a dictator communism socialism, but what I like to call European socialism. I am a capitolist, and a firm believer in capitalism. I believe that the harder you work and apply your skills in this world the more financial your rewards will be. I do not want my government to regulate or over tax what I have worked my entire life to achieve. I will not rely on the government to take care of me in any way, most especially in my retirement. I have paid well over $350,000 to my personal social security account. It will take me 18 years to draw that money I have paid into my account, and that will begin at age 67, and that means I would run out of what I have paid in only if I live to be 85 yrs old. I am not sure what you said about FDR is true or not, as yes he is one of many great Presidents we have had over the years. The greatest is and will always be open to debate depending upon you and your political views. As for of us Americans these days we lean independent and do not vote along party lines, but vote for who we think will represent us the best. Infuriately in the house and senate it does not work that way anymore, and has become very divided, and they most always vote along party lines no matter if they agree or they do not agree, that is until we have a crisis, then we all believe that we have no party affiliations and believe we are Americans, Then and only then do they do what is in the best interest of the American people. The corona virus is and example of this, and so was the 911 crisis. There are many more examples, but I believe you get my point. I think we should have term limits on both the House and the Senate of two terms, just as we do for President.

9 States Where Registered Independents Outnumber Both Major Political Parties Millions of voters are not just choosing to self-identify as independent of the two major parties, they are dumping their party registrations in droves. In about half the states that register voters by party, independent voters outnumber at least one of the two major political parties. But here are 9 states where independents not only outnumber registered Republicans AND Democrats, they are also having a significant impact on political developments within the state. Only 33 of the 50 require a registered voter to identify party affiliation.

Your thinking of the presidential election and presidential electoral college. All states have US house of representative seats based on population of each state elected to the US House of Representatives, then each state has 2 Senators in in the US Senate. Only the Presidential Election is decided by the Electoral College for fairness for all of the 50 states regardless of population. This what is called equal and fair representation for all of the US citizens regardless of where you live in this great country and how densely populated your state is. We have 3 branches of government. The House of Representatives is the legislative branch, they develop, debate, and write the laws (435 in total). The Senate (100) and President are the Executive Branch, and pass and enact, and sign the bills into laws. Then there is the Judicial Branch which decides whether laws are constitutional or not. Each of the 50 state governments has very same structure. Wikipedia explains this very well and why our fore fathers decided to do things this way when they developed the constitution and bill of rights.
