More insanity. The basic car like this one, a Rustang, a Charger/Challenger/Road Runner, etc... can be built right out of a box from YearOne parts. They are there to permit a person with a rusted out POS to hang on new panels, cheapy wheels and interior parts and sell the thing before the replacement parts start to rust. That's usually within a year.
I could build a dozen of these 'belly button' cars, if I even liked them. But I don't. Go try finding parts for a pre-war Lincoln, Cadillac, Chrysler, Packard, even Oldsmobile and Pontiacs. That stuff goes for mega-bucks. I like about any large car built prior to 1977. I had my race cars and noisy exhaust cars. I like smooth, quiet, air conditioned luxury. But, at 8 mpg, they aren't exactly flying off of the for sale ads. It takes a collector that sees how to spend money and never get it back. 😄
