Today's noise is certainly not C&W. It leans more to the Pop Music side. RB pointed out some of the real country artists. The music was the story, not some catterwahling crap they call singing today.

I baited the hook with a post saying that I quit because of this thread. I threw it in the water, then let it sit. It wasn't long before one of you started nibbling. When I jigged it, both of you fought to see who could get the whole chunk. One bit on it and the other tried to eat the first fish. I pulled both of you into the boat laughing. Tw9o fish with one chunk of bait. You flopped around on the floor. Didn't any of you take Psychology in school? I love playing mind games with people. There is another thread somewhere on this board concerning this site. I posted in it that I watched them all leave. They packed up a lot of equipment and lighting, jambed it all in a truck at the end of the front walkway, then the people got into two cars with all of their baggage and left. That was it for that place.

Ernie Lujan for one, suggests we should tear down the Statue of Liberty because the people now in question aren't being treated the same as those who passed through Ellis Island and other ports of entry. None of these 1st generation Americans ever gave any thought about what country their parents had come from. They were Americans fighting Hitler, Mussolini and the Emperor of Japan. They were defending the United States of America as one people. When we liberated France, no one in those villages were looking for the French-American or the German-American or the Irish-American. The people of France saw only Americans. And we carried one flag that represented one country. Not one of those immigrant sons would have thought about picking up another country's flag and waving it to represent who they were. It would have been a disgrace to their parents who had sacrificed so much to be here. These immigrants truly knew what it meant to be an American. They stirred the melting pot into one red, white and blue bowl. And here we are with a new kind of immigrant who wants the same rights and privileges. Only they want to achieve it by playing with a different set of rules, one that includes the entitlement card and a guarantee of being faithful to their mother country. I'm sorry, that's not what being an American is all about. I believe that the immigrants who landed on Ellis Island in the early 1900's deserve better than that for all the toil, hard work and sacrifice in raising future generations to create a land that has become a beacon for those legally searching for a better life. I think they would be appalled that they are being used as an example by those waving foreign country flags. And for that suggestion about taking down the Statue of Liberty, it happens to mean a lot to the citizens who are voting on the immigration bill. To this day I don't go to theme parks and the like, simply because I don't want to be rubbed up against by people that may bathe once a week or less. Or their snotty nosed kids. I hate kids. A public pool? Surely you jest. A disease infested cesspool just waiting to attack someone.

Being in the frozen tundra where you are, I can understand boredom. But 3 hours at the computer? After 1 hour or less, I have to move. I don't sit well at all. I can't even get through a half hour TV show without getting jumpy.

I was a strange kid. I hated sports. My parents made me participate. When the ball was thrown or hit my way, I'd look away and watch it go by. It was the only way I knew to get thrown out. In school, I skipped P.E. class. They made us wear these filthy clothes that sat in a stinking locker for a week, shower with a bunch of other guys. In wrestling these wannabe homos would climb all over you. I hated anyone's sweaty skin touching mine. It was simply gross. I was very happy sitting alone in my room with my piano or in a church with a beautiful pipe organ making music that made me tingle all over. But yet I would lay on my back in a puddle of oil and grease and pull a transmission. Go figure.
