Forums are entertainment. At least that was one of the purposes of them. More than once I've been educated on them too about a lot of things. If I go to fix something and I'm not that sure what I'm getting into, YouTube to the rescue. If it's been done, someone made a video of it and I'm more than grateful for their efforts and I tell them so. They may not read it, but the Google overlords see it. My local community has a FB page that has a bunch of idiots on it and it is soooo much fun to troll them. But your little private club undermines the main purpose of the entire forum, which is to be able to share with everyone. If 5 or 6 of you go onto a chat platform that is sort of an 'invite only' chat, the other 22,000 members are denied the ability to read your ramblings. I have fought against private chats of all sorts of forums for a long time. I gave up here because it just isn't going to happen. And PM's should have a limited amount of people unless the PM group is comprised of mods and admins. This nuthouse is so damned big it's almost impossible to follow all of it unless you are an invalid and are basically stuck in what you can do in life. Just about every thread in the apartment forums are just a few people swooning over the inhabitants documenting their every move a thousand times a day. Or you have the followers just conspiring about what is actually taking place within that apartment. Many don't have a clue because of the language barrier. Those that speak and understand that apartments general language are much more in tune to what's going on.

Whenever you want to know why the trolls aren't banned, just look beneath their avatar and you'll see the 2 words, "Premium Member". The mods are highly discouraged from banning any Premium Member no matter how much of an ass he/she is. They can be sat in the corner for a brief time, but are almost never totally banned. As noted, the IGNORE function can serve you very well if you use it and stick by it.
