Europe experienced the pandemic at least two weeks earlier than the U.S., so in pandemic time we were not that far behind Europe. At least Trump had enough brains to stop travel to and from China at the end of January, which was much earlier than that was done by any country in Europe. Also, one of the major reasons New York City is having their horrific outbreak of the disease is because travel between Europe and the U.S. was not stopped soon enough. Also, when Trump did stop travel from both China and Europe he was strongly criticized and condemned by woke liberal progressives in this country. In fact, I believe Europeans condemned him for both those actions. Governors are closer to the problem in their states than are Washington DC bureaucrats and politicians, so they are in a better position to make decisions for their people than is Washington DC.

Sunday the FDA issued emergency authorization of anti-malaria drug for coronavirus care. Hope this results in a big break through. -

Latest story from NEWSWEEK posted on MSN reads, "COVID-19 deaths in Wuhan may be in tens of thousands, data on cremations show". So what else did China hide from us about the coronavirus? -

But if they discover a medication that cures or reduces the severity of the disease in infected people that changes everything. -

It's becoming apparent to me that the coronavirus is going to spread no matter what we do. We may be able to slow the spread in a minor way, but I believe the real game changer will need to be the discovery of an existing medication or of a new medication that cures people who have been infected. That has to be our way out of this mess since a vaccine will probably not be available for a year. -

It appears the Democrat governor of Louisiana and mayor of New Orleans have repeated the incompetent mistakes made by the previous governor and mayor during Hurricane Katrina. During Katrina the mayor of New Orleans didn't evacuate the city and caused many people to die and the governor was completely incompetent in her response to the hurricane. Now the mayor of New Orleans and the governor of Louisiana failed to cancel Mardi Gras where thousands of people from all over the U.S. and the world were packed into the hotels, restaurants, bars and streets of New Orleans. As a result, weeks later the city of New Orleans is now facing a severe outbreak of the coronavirus. I guess you just can't fix stupid. -

The video just confirmed that covid-19 is a much more difficult disease to fight and is more deadly than was the swine flu. The video also confirms that at least 12,500 people died from the swine flu in the U.S., although, I've heard other sources give a death figure of 17,000. I never heard any complaints from the news media about Obama's handling of the swine flu. So if only 10,000 or less die from the coronavirus in the U.S. compared to the 12,500 who died from the swine flu why would Trump be criticized, but Obama not criticized? Especially, when the video states that covid-19 is much more deadly and difficult to treat and control than the swine flu was. -

Trump has done a hell of a lot better job of handling the coronavirus than Barack Obama did in handling the swine flu. -

But Italy and Spain have done a great job of handling it, right? Why do I never hear any criticism of their leaders? -

I'm 74 years old and retired, so not much has changed in my life because of the coronavirus. I already spent almost all of my time at home and only ate at restaurants once or twice a week. I'm just a bit more careful to avoid close contact with people when I go grocery shopping. -

Did the 16 yo have any other medical condition previous to becoming infected with the coronavirus? And of the 40-60 yo who are critical how many of them had previous medical conditions? -

Why does it now make sense for people to individually isolate from each other to protect from becoming infected, but way back in December when the disease was first revealed in China it was considered racist to isolate China from the rest of the world? Political correctness and being "woke" has helped to spread the coronavirus around the world. -

Personally, I think the best way to deal with the virus would be to isolate the high risk group ( age 60+ and chronically ill) in their homes while allowing the rest of the population to resume normal life activities. That way you could protect the most vulnerable from the virus without totally shutting down the economy. It appears many people below the age of sixty who become infected have such mild symptoms that they don't even know they have the disease. -

The pandemic response team was never eliminated. That is a complete and total lie. Also, the government run healthcare systems of Italy and Spain are really doing a fabulous job of handling the pandemic aren't they? If I become infected with the coronavirus I would much rather be treated In the U.S.than anywhere else in the world. -

Does anyone really believe any information the Chinese Communist Government puts out? Why did they kick out reporters from The Washington Post, The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal? Also, I've heard reports of satellite photos which show very long lines of people outside Chinese hospitals. -

You need to understand that some people hate Trump and will never give him credit for doing anything positive. Those people probably think it was a bad idea to ban travel from China and Europe just because Trump is the one who made the decision. -

To show solidarity between Democrats and Republicans and to show that they can work together, I think Sen. Rand Paul should return to the Senate and give Chuck Schumer a big hug and a kiss on the floor of the Senate. -
