  1. Amazing. You just nailed what every American citizen should know by now about their own political parties.
  2. And why is this thread still alive? The damn thing is like a cockroach that just won't die...
  3. No. It's about a small group of guys who get busted for breaking CC rules, and are sentenced to spend 3 months living with their favorite RLC women whilst the RLC husbands and boyfriends are sent on an all-expenses paid vacation in Alaska to fish and hunt wild beavers. Once there, the CC convicts realize that all the RLC girls are FSB agents who try to tease top-secret CC information from them, brutally torturing them with seductive underwear, constant primping, and endless cell phone conversations to their secret lovers who hang out at Tver's apartment. The object of the novel is to promise lots of action, and deliver only blue balls in return. :lmao:
  4. The "Karma game" was invented to show how much the system could be abused. It was an exercise in absurdity and satire. Only those who wanted to play did so, and they'd usually give good karma to a poster who wasn't part of the joke, and negative karma to those that did play the game. This effectively barred trolls from using negative karma to harass members. It certainly is no reason to leave CamCaps, since the Karma rating system has little if any validity, and we all know it.
  5. When I look at this thread, I am reminded of the one key requirement of theatrical drama: the audience must undergo a willing suspension of disbelief. :stirthepot: (Why is this thread stickied and where's the hook-line-&-sinker emoticon?)
  6. Thank god my new Win10 system doesn't come with a smell-o-vision ap! :D :D :D
  7. I'm all for public education. But you're begging for trouble if you allow a huge bureaucracy (such as the U.S. Federal government) control education. It can't even fulfill its primary duty to defend the borders and enforce the Bill of Rights. And it certainly has no business conducting wars if it won't use its military correctly. Like medicine, the Federal Government started over-reaching its authority in the 60's and 70's. Since then, the cost of medical insurance has necessarily skyrocketed along with that of education. The highest SAT college entrance examination scores belong to the high school class of 1972. And now, since A.C.A., people are forced to pay twice as much for medical insurance premiums, and even those who are subsidized can't afford the deductibles and their subsidies are taxed as income at the end of the tax year. I hope my European friends can learn to understand that, by nature, Yankees don't do Socialism (aka State Capitalism) very well. It's an expensive luxury.
  8. You mean he's out romancing babes at southern hemisphere beaches while I'm stuck out in the cold in Krasnoyarsk? Damn, did I screw up or what? Knowing him, he's probably hanging out with K&K until things warm up again at Leora's apartment. Fricken mercenary...
  9. He's been hiding under Leora's couch, waiting for Paul, Scooter and me to leave the apartment.
  10. He'll be back. Trolls gonna troll. Besides, his above post is a trolling masterpiece. I think CamCaps is where they come to refine their craft.
  11. I give iconcam 10 points for posting this in the proper section we lovingly call "Rants and Flame Wars." Truly a call to action. Have at it, boys... :lmao:
  12. TBG & I are behind the times! I didn't know there was a translate button either! See, you learn something new every day here at CamCaps!
  13. Politicians are greedy for political power, and they will gladly pass legislation for those who will pay the most protection money to them. This generally results in legislation that eliminates competition, as well has promoting regulations that keep small businesses from growing. As it is, small business start-ups in the United States (and that means mom & pop shops) have not been this low for decades. Personally, I'm not afraid of mom & pops: some were my customers, some were my vendors. We all did what we could do to make each other successful. But when my company's medical insurance doubled in 2010 and I realized I was now dealing with 15 different governmental entities instead of serving my customers, I shut down the business. It was no longer cost effective. I'm Atlas shrugged. Hence, I now have time to bully CC members around with my Mod status although I'd prefer have enough money coming in to travel the world. Alas, Barcelona is but a dream. :'(
  14. I watch futbol seldom, but in honor of our beloved Leora and our Spanish couples, I did watch the ending games of the World Cup last time around. (I'll even watch futbol during the Olympics.) And I actually found these closely contested games to be interesting when something actually exciting happened. Take that as a compliment from a Yankee squirrel. Because other than that, I will only watch billiard tournaments when done by professionals and porn when done by amateurs. I'm just not much of a sports guy anymore. Lost too many goddamn bets, and my local pro-teams suck!
  15. Sounds like we need a game section created over in Old Dudes. It certainly beats the hell out of arguing with each other over at Rants & Flames, or waiting for Ilona & Irma to start fucking each other over at the Apartment threads! (Thanks for the info on Sudoku, as I have been Sudoku disadvantaged. Anyone up for a game of 9 ball? How 'bout cribbage? Strip poker with Leora & Anna? :P :P :P)
  16. Both Socialism (in all of its forms) and Communism (in all of its forms) are both State Capitalist systems. This simply means that the State, which also has the coercive force to enforce its laws, also controls the means of production and the means of consumption. This essentially removes the economic rights of individuals to keep their earnings or to trade in goods unless they are allowed special dispensation and favored by the Almighty State. They become subjects of a powerful Monopoly. There was a time when American colonists were prohibited from manufacturing finished goods like shovels, prohibited from buying tea that was shipped on anything other than English ships, and prohibited from holding government offices unless they tithed to the Anglican Church, the state sanctioned religion. That, too, was State Capitalism (often known as Mercantilism.) There is nothing new about government leaders seeking to usurp the economic or religious rights of individuals. A state with that much power, even if given it by a democratic political system, will ultimately become absolutely corrupt.
  17. Whelp, let's start with the Weimar Republic. Then let's also move on to virtually every country in Eastern Europe. The history is there.
  18. It's amazing how State Capitalists spend their time arguing about which brand of socialism can give the most power to the government. Bolsheviks vs Mencheviks, indeed.
  19. Apparently, Imacman's post is legit. Unfortunately, I already deleted his post that looked very suspicious, but I will allow him to repost it. And yes, this morning was busy. I finally now just finished my morning coffee and I am now ready for a beer!
  20. I think I have this apartment figured out now. http://victoriassecretvictoriassecret.tumblr.com/howvs
  21. Wild speculation and conspiracy theories crumble into dust, you say? Ahhhh, but that is exactly what they want you to believe!
  22. Hint: Victoria's Secret must be paying RLC a fortune for product placement in this apartment. ;)
  23. I grew up reading Huckleberry Finn. We'd float down irrigation canals and smoke tobacco out of makeshift pipes. The book is banned in schools now. The pipes are used for something else now.
  24. The girls are GONE. The pissing contest between CC members can now be continued at Flame Wars. Thank you and have a nice day. :)
  25. I tend to agree with you. RLC was originally envisioned to host the "real lives" of young couples. They seldom played to the cameras; they had real lives outside of RLC, and did things other than just engage in sex. Even those couples engaged in the theater arts (like N&K) simply went about their usual and believable routines. But RLC got bigger (just as CC has gotten bigger), and they discovered they could get a bit more traffic by showing a bit more sex that is normally existent. The "all girls apartment" is all about eye-candy: these are women who by profession love to be exhibitionists. Yes, they play to the cameras. But I don't think RLC is centrally scripted; I just think they let them improvise on their own. We still have Maya and Stephen, and certainly N&B & Masha & Sasha & D&D are not particularly interested in being Internet soft-porn stars, and do fit the original mission statement of RLC. RLC & VV are not the same kind of sites, anyway. IMHO.
