What I meant was that people who didn't get a flu shot, that are now in the hospital, are using resources that could have been saved for serious covid 19 patients like ventilators.

That's such a sweet thing to say!! You know I feel the same way about you guys.if everyone follows the guidelines. This will hopefully blow over. Believe it or not I was in Fla last to watch the Phil's preseason games. Saw 2, 1 cancld. There was no hoarded or disruptions at restaurants. Then come back here and watch 2 white trash woman fighting off a lady who wanted a pack of toilet paper. The had at least 10 8 packs. These situations bring out the very best in some, and the absolute worst in others. You and your loved ones stay well!!

I have a question, the regular flu season has peaked and is going to end here. This will free up a lot of the things needded like ventilators. If these folks had gotten their free flu shot, there wouldnt be any shortages. They're using up resources that are unnecessary.

I hope you're staying away from her right now. I'm the same, I'm not the least bit afraid to get it, but my Mom and Dad both have underlying conditions and I would die w/o them.

That is horrible. I'm not sure how it is in Italy, but in my country I read 50% or so of elderly didnt get a flu shot. Maybe if they did , resources being used by them wouldn't be in such a shortage like vventilators. I'm not blaming them but they still think they can get the flu from the flu shot, like my parents.

I've heard there are many very old folks in the area, they're the most vulnerable unfortunately.

Everyone hiding away in their homes and not going to work or school, which has led to hoarding food and supplies, and food programs for the poor to be shut down, will lead to a recession and desperate people trying to survive and feed their families, and the usual scumbags who will try to take advantage of the fear and panic that will ramp up as time goes by, great plan. Then when the numbers drop and we go back to normal, if we have no vaccine, the numbers will rise again. I dont get the point of this plan!

Hey Robwin, i agree with you 100%! having a total lockdown and rich folks telling average people not to go to work, or leave the house is going to lead to a recession or worse, and eventually looting and food riots. I heard some fool today say we wont know if this plan is working for maybe 8 weeks! Guy and I started putting together emergency supplies early last year out of fear the grid might go down for various reasons and that got me nervous. So we got a generator, lots of Mountain House and Wise food dehydrated, high caloric food. My neighbor and we are gonna team up if necessary. He has an inground pool. 4 cars between us for generator gas, plenty of food, lots of lanterns, batteries emergency radios, and a bunch of other stuff if and when all goes to hell. We got lot of ammo but am getting more this week. Hopefully this will blow over and things will be back to normal shortly. The longer this goes on, the better chance of the criminals taking advantage of the situation I'm scared, but we all need to be ready if violence and mayhem break out.
