Hey i just saw this post, People who judge people and think they know about them by the way they look are really the most ignorant people you can meet. Ive been feeling so much better yesterday and today, but i'm still really an emotional mess. I cried a lot when i looked her up and saw her story.and watched the video again, such an awful tragedy. And how anyone could think she looks anything but beautiful is blind. And the vile animals that did this only got 15 years in prison!? Theres a whole lot of people who feel the way you do, and not everyone should own guns. We like to go target shooting a lot here, so we mostly have them as a hobby and a sport i guess you would call it. But we also have them for defensive reasons also. I don't ever want to kill anyone, but like you said, things are increasingly more fucked up in this country, and i'm not going to wait for police to arrive if someone breaks into my house. Just announcing i'm armed and that i have 911 on the line, and the cops are on the way will probably cause anyone to just go, but if they don't, then the victim will either me or the intruder, and i want the upper hand in that scenario.

Oh my, thats really tragic, but it wasn't an accident. Number one, never assume a gun isn't loaded for any reason ever, always check to be sure it's not loaded, number 2, never point a gun at someone unless your intention is to kill them, let alone point it and pull the trigger. 2 simple rules, to start with, there are other safety rules, but these 2 are just your basic safety rules.

We know that, because we're responsible gun owners who know better. we're big 2d amendment rights people at my house, and I'm all for having to take a gun safety class as a requirement for owning a handgun, that's not taking away anyones rights, and its just common sense to me

I would guess he's never fired that gun, once you do unless you're a friggin moron, you would never do such a thing. Even if i'm 100% sure my gun isn't loaded, i check it anyway if i'm cleaning it or handling it for any reason.

I had to look up who Sophie Lancaster was and it made me cry to watch the video again. What a horrible senseless tragedy. Such a beautiful girl. There really is evil in the world when there are vicious animals like the two who did this could be so inhuman to commit such a awful act.
