I think it's only temporary. Tasha was a tenant as well it was only for a certain length of time.

I have a phone but it stays on my desk and I charge it up every 3 to 4 days. It has no service to make phone calls or text. I just use it to sync my Smartwatch. Other than that I have no real intentions of using it for any services. i have plenty nieces and nephews that have their face stuck in it from the time they wake till sleep as well. Ask a question while they're on it and they blatantly tune out any conversations. Almost similar to a deaf person.

The only time she's never on the phone is when she sleeps. Her face is stuck in the thing from the time she wakes till sleep. What a way to spend a life with a face stuck in a phone 18 to 20 hours a day.

I have tried turning the updates off and it doesn't work. I guess they figured since they offered Windows 11 for free people will just have to take what's thrown their way. The only way around it is to go back to the older O/S's such as Windows 7 or 8.1 then updates can be shut down. Only thing is it offers no more support for the older O/S's. There is another option and that's just get rid of Windows and replace it with a non windows O/S's such as Linux, FreeBSD, Chromium, Illumos, Zorin, AROS and there are plenty of other alternatives other than Windows. I have tried Zorin O/S before and it's decent for something that's free on a CD, but as soon as the CD was removed all the work was lost and had to begin from scratch every time. Now they offer a downloadable version which will copy right to the SSD. I believe they charge for the download version but it's cheap something like $20 to $30. I'll try it when it's first updated but if I do like it then Windows 11 is gone.
