If i'm not wrong they even advertised on twitter it the first time they did it

They did it at least two times before. It's called nitrogen cellulose. It burns instantly and because it burns so fast it doesn't cause any harm.

Whatever they are trying to do is a very stupid move or stunt.

Nope it's really not dangerous. It vanishes in less then a second because it burns so fast.

In one of the pictures they had to use a towel or blanket to smother it.

Yes you can do that when it gets too hot. I never did it but I lately read about it as a variation of S/M stuff.
