KarenKraft
KK lives in a beautiful dream world. No, it's just the power of positive thinking. Wow. How cool is that!
Foamy T. Squirrel
Just a reminder, since history is no longer taught any where in the world (it might make the masses less pliable, and destroy group-think.) TODAY IS DECEMBER 7.

KarenKraft
Just a reminder, since history is no longer taught any where in the world (it might make the masses less pliable, and destroy group-think.) TODAY IS DECEMBER 7. "A day that will live.. Well, for a while anyway" If you listen/watch the longer, 8-minute or so version, it's much more powerful. I noticed right away that FDR forgot to mention anything about "Empathizing With Our Enemy." His patriot eyes must have skipped over that part; right, Hillary? Foamy T. Squirrel
Here's the version for those of you who would like to know that at one time, Americans stood with their allies instead of with the enemy; the President had the guts to request a full declaration of war; and the Congress had the guts to declare one. It is the last war we and our allies won. While we're at it: Idealists who feel that peace at any cost is noble, and therefore become to addicted to its comforts, are the very ones who invite war. Ozi
..............that if managed correctly, according to an interesting anonymous summary of a paper I just read, Iraq could be the solution to all our problems. I will cut it down to the bare bones. Western society is hamstrung by antiquated rules of engagement, established when there was some code of honour on the battlefield. This was still evident to a degree during WWII. The Nuremburg Trials however, proved that the rules of engagement no longer applied to our enemy and haven't ever since. What is occurring in Iraq is a civil war. Although still on-going, ISIL has proclaimed a caliphate - an Islamic state, controlled by a caliph with a government based on Islamic religious law. In theory, the decisions of the caliph - also referred to as the Prince of the Faithful - would be binding on all groups across the muslim world. So, let them establish their Islamic state. In theory, it is binding on all muslims. Great, we won't argue that point, in fact we will support it. We won't however support dual citizenship, so 'foreigners' will be deported back to their own country, including the State of Islam. That would mean that what used to be called terrorist acts committed outside the borders of the State of Islam are now a declaration of war. That would allow us to formally declare war and, even with our antiquated rules of engagement, at least we would only have one hand tied behind our back. Interesting idea. Ozi
http://chartsbin.com/view/hxj This is an interactive map of the world indicating legal age of consent for females by country. Just hover over a country with the cursor. No wonder China has a population explosion, age of consent is 14, and Spain is 13!
Foamy T. Squirrel
Now we just need a map that shows IQ for legal consent. Laws controlling that would cut down the human population substantially... ;D
KarenKraft
Did you know.... That having sexual incest is not illegal in Japan?

Laws controlling that would cut down the human population substantially... ;D On the same page as that map is another one that shows the age of consent for female heterosexual sex only. It gives a strong argument for reducing the world population by lifting the age of consent. Example: Antarctica, population 0 (except for visiting scientists), age of consent 100!
