People say Russians drink a lot, but in a study of Countries by Alcohol Consumption Per Capita, they don't even make the top 10. In fact, their consumption doesn't even reach double digits in liters of alcohol consumed per person. 

The top 10, eight of which are in Central Europe, range from 11-13 liters of alcohol consumed for every man, woman and child in the country. For a little perspective for us Americans, 13 liters in nearly 3.5 gallons.
