jimbo4 Posted April 7, 2022 Share Posted April 7, 2022 Whilst everyone has an opinion one way or another regarding the Russian- Ukraine war I think it's worth remembering the old adage " The first victim of war is truth " Whilst there is little doubt Russia is the aggressor and bully, it is worth remembering that in these days of enhanced photo editing and where a complete battalion of people are employed 24/7 to spew out propaganda from all sides of the dispute, with claims and counter claims in abundance, nothing is always as it seems, and not all wars are won by tanks, soldiers and bombs War is the media's dream, they can spin a story exactly as they wish, and Joe Public sucks it up and makes judgements accordingly, and a tidal wave of emotions are set in motion. Behind the scenes mega rich multinational companies are rubbing their hands together at the prospect of enhancing their bottom line profits from supplying weapons to the protagonists involved without any conscience whatsoever.
