Expand But in the beginning Biden refused to give tanks, air defense system, jets and heavy artillery to Ukraine for fear of provoking Putin and starting WW III. Go back and check videos and news stories at the beginning of the invasion. More chance of Putin using nukes now than before the war started because Putin is now too heavily invested in the war to accept defeat. 1

Now I see a prolonged war with much of Ukraine being destroyed and nothing ever being resolved. Ukraine may eventually win the war, but at what cost? They may win the war and still lose their country to destruction. I also believe there are people in the military-industrial complex who just want the war to continue on indefinitely so that they can make money from the war as was the case in Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan.
