Epikouros Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago Il y a 3 heures, Xarvaz a dit : Those girls are missing a few brain cells and just can't be helped anymore, no matter how often RLC sets traps... the doors stay open at night. By the way, I wonder if those girls know that 20% of bats carry the rabies virus and poop and pee while flying... live bombings during the night 😁 Then wouldn't there be a lot more rabies cases among pets and even humans in Europe if that were true?... So I looked it up and it's not true, at least not for European bats: "In Europe, only about 2.2% of bats submitted for diagnostic testing are actively carrying bat lyssaviruses (the rabies-related viruses found in Europe). Among healthy, wild populations, the active infection rate is generally believed to be considerably lower. [1, 2] Risk to Humans: The risk of human contraction is exceedingly low. Over the last 35 years, there have been fewer than a handful of laboratory-confirmed human cases linked to bat lyssaviruses in Europe. [1, 2] Important Safety Note: Because all mammals in Europe can potentially transmit the virus if bitten or scratched, health authorities strongly advise against handling bats with bare hands. If you ever find a grounded or injured bat, use thick gloves and contact a local wildlife rescue." And the reason the girls leave the doors open is probably not missing brain cells, but circulation: perhaps it gets quite stuffy in there with all the doors/windows closed? If girls (you know, the humans getting a meltdown when even just seeing a mouse in traditional cartoons; one might also say the current girls are not very squeamish instead of stupid...) prefer rats/bats over stuffiness, perhaps there's something wrong with the airco? Is there even airco?...
Brit Guy Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago Anyway ...with Amirel residing there now, will we see any bubble baths with her and some of the other residents.

None of us actually know of course. I admit I'd be gutted if I were in Liora's shoes, so your assumption would have been my first one too, but she's smart (I think 😄) and knows that Amirel is not responsible but RLC management 😉 And she has the PH for a few days! 😛

I'll stick with what I initially said though 🤭

The Dutch species accounts for 20% and also occurs in others lands and dogs that catch a bat also become carriers and spreaders so the spread becomes much wider. A friend of mine got it from his own dog, probably by catching a bat (it has been seen).

I live not far from your country and rabies is virtually unheard of here... But of course there's always a very tiny chance. Not disputing that.
Xarvaz Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago Haha well, that was the big change to the villa and the important news from Bodgan... what a joke, but luckily the rats are back so there is still something worthwhile to see.

Not sure new tenant arrival could be considered as an important/big news for tenants... I think it was again a miisunderstanding 🤣

LOL I wonder if they know this? "their teeth are so tiny and sharp that a bite or scratch can be completely painless and leave no visible mark".

You really have to pick them up and get bitten, and nobody does that here.
