So much hate

In this virtual world that we spend time on, it is easy to be critical, judgemental, or analytical about anything and everything. It's easy to say "damn she's #%!%# hot, I'd like to poke her holes everywhich way possible" or "geez, that guys a lame, worthless, good-for-nothing, no-good SOB who will never amount to anything" or "the algorithm to that which the circumnavigational ability of celestial bioinformatics only applies on a molecular stratosphere"(i don't claim to know what this means, if anything). We can say these things because we know that we are "safe" in our little world behind the screen. We can practically be anybody we want. We can be from any part of the world without moving one footstep. No repercussions, no worries, no fears(unless a MOD says other wise of course). What I'm trying to say is this...You absolutely cannot make a judgement call about someone from where you sit looking into the screen. We see but a fraction of the lives of these people, and to judge them by what we "see" is most unfair. Only they know what their situation is. I do not know what kind of a person it takes to allow themselves to be broadcasted day and night all over the world, but I know that I couldn't do it. They allow us to look into their daily lives because they choose to. They share their most intimate moments with us. If anything we should be praising them--all of them, not just the women(and yes, I've read messages about the abuse in RLC and I'm not condoning it. Common sense tells me what's right or what's wrong. We all make mistakes. It''s human nature).  Instead, most will use hurtful words to the ones that don't perform to expectations or ones that are not to ones liking and even use hurtful words to each other. Who is right? Who is wrong? Is it so important to try and prove ones point in here that it causes hate? I am new to posting to the forum, but not new to coming here(I just recently made an account maybe two months ago). I have read some of the more interesting messages on the board and even gone back into the message archives and read what a lot of the you have said. Some good some bad. A lot of you are very intelligent and some of you pretend to be. To the veterans of the United States: I am thankful and grateful of those that served our country but at the same time I am also unhappy about the veterans of this forum because they should be the leaders here. Instead it saddens me to see how foul mouthed our society has become. Respect is not given, it is earned so just because one wears a "badge" it only means something up to a certain point. I too am a veteran of the USAF and I say to you...All of you...lead as a leader should...be the American that we are suppose to be. There is so much hate in this world and it's only going to get worse. Maybe it's just me or maybe I'm just suppose to pretend that this forum is like a drinking pub and guys are going to be guys. I don't know. What I do know is this. This forum attracts people from around the world. What kind of an example are we as Americans setting for the rest of the world? Granted that this is not some high class message board-where if your keyboard keys stick, you're not allowed, but it is a message board where intelligent people interact with one another. What one types tells a lot about what kind of person one is. I am not trying to change anything here because I'm sure that that is futile. A person will be what he or she wants to be and do what he or she wants to do in this virtual world. If one doesn't share the beer...if one doesn't share the remote...if one doesn't say nice things once in a while...then soon there will be no reason to worry about sharing anymore because you will be left standing all by yourself. That is all for now...

Funny you use the analogy of a few guys drinking in a pub, not sure about America, but if you spouted that crap in an Aussie pub, you'd quickly be told to fuck off.

The one that fears being exposed the most is the one that lashes out at the truth. Btw...it's "fuck off  Sir"....that is all.

That is the truth, you would be told to fuck off, mate.

Anyway, I'm not American, so your kumbaya bullshit doesn't apply to me.

  • 1 month later...

You mean he's out romancing babes at southern hemisphere beaches while I'm stuck out in the cold in Krasnoyarsk? Damn, did I screw up or what?

Knowing him, he's probably hanging out with K&K until things warm up again at Leora's apartment. Fricken mercenary...
