Bit of a coincidence, clearing out some boxes in the shed over the weekend and found some old singles including Rain and Tears by Aphrodite's Child from 1968. Demis played bass and sang vocals.

Oz - Much as we all have enjoyed The Beatles, Wings, etc., for many Americans, what remains in our collective consciousness regarding Mr. McCartney is his disrespect for a former President who, more than any other President, furthered reading, literacy, and libraries here in the U.S. and abroad.  That takes up all available space for Mr. McCartney.  It would be as though Beyonce went to London and quipped, "Hey, I hope the Queen isn't turning tricks out on Hyde Park no more!"  Oh how FUNNY!  Right?  No, not at all.  Here is what many of us will always associate with McCartney:

Consider the fact that he dropped out of the Boy's Academy and Bush went to Yale, Mc Cartney's singing voice and writing skills neither forgives nor conceals his inadequate education and class.

The fact that he sucks Obama's cock doesn't help matters.

Rev. Gary Davis is to music as Phillip K. Dick is to Science Fiction novelists. Most people don't know who they are, but their legacy is everywhere.

They both make excellent studies in the development of their prospective arts.

You folks spend waaaaayyyyy too much time at your computers.  ::)

Yes, but at least on this occasion is was something worthy, music, in all it variations.

Although I did see something yesterday that could easily distract me from my music, loaded on the back of a semi was a red '68 Mustang with an interstate registration plate, SALLY.
