Guest Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 For a European, it´s really educational to read this thread and learn the opinions of you right wing conservatives on world politics, black people and other races, death sentence, Obama, Obama´s wife and so on. Without reading this, I would not have believed that such opinions exist in the 21st century. Yesterday, the expected candidates of the Republican party for your next presidential election were presented in our biggest newspaper: Jeff Bush, Scott Walker and all the others. I got really worried - over 300 million people and such candidates. In our country none of them could get even close to the candidacy. An explanation is needed here: it has been said that all our political parties could fit inside the U.S. Democratic party and there would still be room on both sides. And that does not mean that we would be all leftists - right wing - very different from yours - has majority in our parliament. CC is not the forum for me to discuss politics, but I just want to express my fear of what kind of leader the U.S. will have next and how that will effect the world peace.

Of all of the intelligent people in this country that really could do a good job of the Presidency, this is the best that we can get to run? Either side. Republican or Democrat. And then we get real idiots like Donald Trump that give consideration to the Office. American politics is a giant circus. I'm just not sure who the clowns are. The people running for office or the people that nominate and vote them in.

ww_watcher Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 That last picture reminds me of the time I made two 5 gallon batches of Mead. One plain and one kissed by the Green Goddess. They had set-up for almost a year (almost ready) when the wife and I detected the distinctive odor of rotting flesh coming from the crawl space under the house where I stored the fermenting elixir. What I found was the carcass of a dead Raccoon that had knocked over one of the big glass bottles (corboys) and somehow broken off the neck. We believe it drank itself to death...or maybe had ingested some glass shards. Strange for an animal to drink that much, but after all, mead is made of honey...
