If you are correct, then that is absolutely incompetent management. You have to see what the hit-rate metrics mean. If you are getting hits because people are simply jumping on to see what all the fuss in the forums is about, then they aren't worth much. Why? because most of those people will get pissed and drop their membership if what they see is not to their liking and the non-members who are jumping on to check it out will determine that the site is not worth the money being charged and will not sign-up for a membership.
