Europe thinks it is past the peak of the first wave of the coronavirus April 17, 2020 at 3:12 p.m. CDT LONDON — All across Europe, the numbers are coming down. In Italy, Spain, France, Germany and Britain, public health officials — their faces often drained by exhaustion — are now expressing cautious optimism that the first wave of Europe’s devastating pandemic is ending. From Ireland to Greece, officials are seeing hopeful signs that coronavirus infections are peaking and have begun to plateau or recede, pointing to intensive care beds that are slowly opening up and a daily reduction in the number of new hospitalizations. In Paris, Milan and Madrid, hospitals and staff that were stressed to their limits just a few weeks ago, as thousands of coughing, fevered, breathless patients surged through their doors, are now reporting empty beds in their ICUs. There are ventilators to go around. The Severo Ochoa Hospital in Madrid made international news with images last month of sick patients sleeping on the floor, waiting to be seen by a doctor. Now there are a few spare beds in Spain. Europe’s esteemed, pricey, generous health-care systems didn’t have to ration care. Europe held. But it’s not yet time to completely let up, officials caution. The continent is still seeing shocking numbers of fatalities. Members of the European Union and Britain account for almost two-thirds of the 150,000 deaths recorded worldwide. But infectious disease experts say Europe’s effort to slow the pandemic — instituting quarantines across the continent more widespread and draconian than those seen during the plague in the Middle Ages — has worked.

April 17 (Reuters) - The number of deaths linked to the novel coronavirus reached 150,000 on Friday, according to a Reuters tally. The first death came in the central Chinese city of Wuhan on Jan. 9. It took 83 days for the first 50,000 deaths to be recorded and just eight more for the toll to climb to 100,000. It took another eight days to go from 100,000 to 150,000. The death toll is still far short of the so-called Spanish flu, which began in 1918 and is estimated to have killed more than 20 million people by the time it petered out in 1920.

More facts about why WE NEED TO STAND TOGETHER. Remember EYES WIDE OPEN. Amid coronavirus, US is trying to 'squeeze' what it can from the Army's largest European exercise in 25 years Early on Friday, a C-17 Globemaster transport plane landed in Bulgaria with medical equipment from China, made possible by the NATO-supported Strategic Airlift Capability, under which NATO and partner countries own and operate three C-17s, sharing flying hours and costs. Through that and other programs, "we're able to lift and shift critical assets and get them to the vital point of need," Wolters said, adding that the US has provided medical equipment and supplies to locations across Europe and this week, in a first for the Pentagon, moved three Americans from Kabul to Germany for coronavirus treatment. Wolters also addressed disinformation regarding the coronavirus response in Europe, saying Russians have "attempted to insert themselves" into reporting on the delivery of medical goods and to "downplay the importance of one nation in NATO providing [personal protective equipment] to another." Wolters said his command's reaction to that disinformation effort was two-pronged, consisting of recognizing and correcting falsehoods and of promoting allies' own activities and investments.

Not really jabbath, the Russian's and and Chinese most likely have nukes up their pointed right at you right now !!! It is the US that keeps them in a détente. Memories seem to be very short these days as we point fingers at each other about who did this or did that. In the end, the facts I have posted earlier are factual, and the most recent truth about how and where this virus started. One thing that stood out to me more than anything else was the fact that No Chinese leaders of either business or political have had the virus or any of their family members, while in just about every other country in the world their leaders and families have been affected. I won't even begin to go into the economics of this as if I did it would much more clear to everyone. Conspiracy Theories are just that, without factual evidence it becomes just speculation. In this case that is it not true to all who stands to gain the most form worldwide pandemic !!!! It is time for US and EU, and all of the free countries of this world to STAND TOGETHER AGAIN, and take back our lives and economies from the Stalin Leninist Communistic dictators of this world. They will screw us all in the ass and won't even offer you, or me, or our brothers and sisters a jar of Vaseline to sooth the pain. I choose not walk through life with Blinders on, but to see the world for what it really is, I have been to 28 different countries, and I had to escorted by armed guards more than once. Europe, Africa, Middle East, Asia, and South America.

Damn this is rough thread today. This virus sucks ass !!!! I live in small community of 35,000 people. I will post the most recent update. keep in mind this is area of about 150 mile radius. Total population is about 200,000. As of 12:00pm Friday afternoon statistics released by the KDHE show, 129 test have been performed throughout the Seward County. Of those 129, 24 individuals test results have come back positive, an increase of 2 over yesterday Around the area, Stevens County has tested 43 with 3 positive cases, Haskell County has tested 10 with positive 0 cases, Morton County has tested 11 with 2 positive case, Grant County has tested 8 with 0 positive cases, Meade County has tested 7 with 0 positive cases, Ford County has tested 201 with 84 positive cases, and Finney County has tested 133 with 25 positive cases. Beaver County has 1 positive case while Texas County, Ok. has 9 positive tests. Statewide in Kansas there has been 1705 positive tests, 15,196 negative tests, and 84 deaths related to COVID 19. Oklahoma has registered a total of 2465 positive test, 31,155 negative tests, 1,331 Oklahomans have been reported to have recovered and 136 deaths have been attributed to the Coronavirus.

SOMETHING SMELLS I am not concerning myself with spats between Peter Navarro and Dr. Anthony Fauci, or the insidious back and forth regarding the relief of command for the Commander of the USS Theodore Roosevelt. Instead, I have been poring over many articles and research on the origin of the Wuhan Chinese coronavirus. I have taken it upon myself to collate some thoughts and perspectives I have read and combined them with my own. It cannot be debated, we have been hit with a massive biological agent. The question is not whether there was intent, but rather the level of intent. Sure, there are such things as coincidences, but in this specific case, nah. The indicators, trends, and warnings all lead to a simple, and reasonable, deduction. Wuhan to Shanghai = 839 km Wuhan to Beijing = 1,152 km Wuhan to Milan = 8,684 km Wuhan to NY = 12,033 km The coronavirus started in Wuhan, yet there has been no major effect of Chinese coronavirus in nearby Beijing or Shanghai. Yet, there have been many deaths in Italy, Iran, European countries, and America. All business areas of China are now safe, so declared by the Communist Chinese government. America is not just blaming China without a reason. The virology lab that does research on bats that carry the coronavirus is in Wuhan. The Chinese Army’s biological research lab is in Wuhan. The university that is connected to the Harvard University biology and chemistry professor who was arrested in January is the Wuhan University of Technology. As for the two doctors who treated the first cases of the Wuhan coronavirus, one is dead, the other is missing. Even today, India is locked down, yet all the cities of China are open. China has also announced the opening of Wuhan beginning April 8th. Not a single leader in China has tested positive for the deadly coronavirus. The virus has ruined many economies around the world. Many have had to close their borders in an attempt to contain and control the spread of the coronavirus. Thousands have lost their lives, millions have been exposed to this pestilence, countless people have been locked in their homes, and many countries have placed their citizens on lockdown. The coronavirus originated in the city of Wuhan in China. We are told its origin is out of a wet market. Yet, these same wet markets remain open. Did someone release one of the lab bats into the local wet market? The Wuhan coronavirus has now reached every corner of the world, but the virus did not have deadly consequences in China’s capital of Beijing nor China’s economic capital of Shanghai, located in close proximity to Wuhan itself. Or maybe it has and we just do not know about it? Today, Paris is closed. New York is closed. Berlin is closed. Delhi is closed. Mumbai is closed. Tokyo is closed. Many of the world’s major economic and political centers are closed, but Beijing and Shanghai are open. No major Wuhan coronavirus effect is seen in either city, or so we have been told. There were only a few cases reported, and from those reports, it would seem the virus had no detrimental effect on Beijing and Shanghai. Beijing is the city where all the leaders of China live, including their military leaders. There is no lockdown in Beijing. Shanghai is the city that runs China’s economy. It is the economic capital of China, where all the rich people of China live and run major industries. There is no lockdown there, there is no major, visible, effect of the Wuhan coronavirus there. Beijing and Shanghai are the areas adjoining Wuhan. The virus from Wuhan reached every corner of the world, but, it appears, has not had major ramifications on Beijing and Shanghai? Another interesting point of order is that the worldwide share market has fallen by almost half. In India, the Nifty has gone from 12,000 to 7,000, but the share market in China was at 3,000 and just merely dropped to 2,700. This is why there are those who speculate that the Wuhan coronavirus is a biochemical weapon of China, which China used to carry out destruction in the world in order to gain economic, and potentially military, supremacy. According to the ChiComs, China has now put this virus under control, maybe they also have the antidote/vaccine that they are not sharing with the world, or even will do when it is in their best interest to do so. We do know that China threatened to cut off medical supplies that are produced in China to the United States. If there is any valid reason to cut off our supply chains from China, and bring them home for production and manufacturing, that is a primary one. China is not our ally, they are our geopolitical foe. Hollywood stars, Australia’s Home Minister, Britain’s Prime Minister and Health Minister, Spain’s Prime Minister’s wife, Canada’s Prime Minister’s wife, and Britain’s Prince Charles, among others, have contracted the Wuhan coronavirus. However, not a single political or military leader in China has been reported as testing positive for the Wuhan Chinese coronavirus. China has refused to allow our Center for Disease Control (CDC) experts to investigate the origins of this pandemic. China has expelled foreign journalists. China has enacted a propaganda campaign to blame the United States military. China has sold their own Wuhan coronavirus test kits and masks to several countries, such as Spain, the Netherlands, and the Czech Republic. They were found to be defective. The close associations between the head of the World Health Organization (WHO) and China have been well established. Just recently, the United Nations gave China a seat on the Human Rights Commission. We all know that China has a permanent seat on the United Nations Security Council. Mr. President, China’s dictator Xi Jinping is not your friend, and you do not have a “great relationship” with Xi. China is, without a doubt, a murderous tyrannical communist regime that is running concentration camps for the Uighurs in western China. They are a repressive communist regime that cares little about their own people. We have seen their brutality evidenced in Hong Kong. We know that their goal and objective is global dominance and supremacy. One only needs to read their “One Belt, One Road” national strategy to ascertain that. This past Sunday, I watched the James Bond movie “Spectre,” the symbol of that organization was an octopus. Ladies and gents across the world, we are watching a real diabolical octopus with its tentacles spreading out all over the world. China is a dark specter. China has committed crimes against humanity on a global scale. Instead of our pointing fingers at each other about national response times, let us point our gathered, collective, finger at the one that has caused the deaths of our brothers and sisters — and the decimation of our respective economies — that is China. Yes, something smells about this whole thing, and that stench comes from one place: China.

China says WHO has said no evidence coronavirus was made in a lab BEIJING (Reuters) - China’s foreign ministry said on Thursday the World Health Organization has said there is no evidence that the coronavirus that has infected more than 2 million people globally was made in a lab. Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian made the remark in response to a question about accusations the coronavirus originated in a lab in the central Chinese city of Wuhan, where the epidemic first emerged in late 2019. There is increasing confidence that the COVID-19 outbreak likely originated in a Wuhan laboratory, though not as a bioweapon but as part of China's attempt to demonstrate that its efforts to identify and combat viruses are equal to or greater than the capabilities of the United States, multiple sources who have been briefed on the details of early actions by China's government and seen relevant materials tell Fox News. This may be the "costliest government cover-up of all time," one of the sources said. The sources believe the initial transmission of the virus – a naturally occurring strain that was being studied there – was bat-to-human and that "patient zero" worked at the laboratory, then went into the population in Wuhan. The “increasing confidence” comes from classified and open-source documents and evidence, the sources said. Sources emphasized -- as is often the case with intelligence -- that it’s not definitive and should not be characterized as such. Some inside the administration and the intelligence and epidemiological communities are more skeptical, and the investigation is continuing. What all of the sources agree about is the extensive cover-up of data and information about COVID-19 orchestrated by the Chinese government. NOW, WHO WOULD FUND THE WORLD HEALTH ORGANZATION WHEN THEY HELP COVER UP THE TRUTH ? THE US SPENDS ABOUT 420 MILLION A YEAR TO FUND THE WORLD HEALTH ORGANZATION, CHINA SPENDS ABOUT 38 MILLION. The biennial WHO budget for 2020-2021 has been set at $4.84 billion. President Trump announced Tuesday that the U.S. is placing a hold on funding to the World Health Organization for 60–90 days over its handling of the coronavirus pandemic, pending a review. Driving the news: Trump accused the WHO of "severely mismanaging and covering up" the coronavirus crisis, adding that the U.S. "has a duty to insist on full accountability." "With the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have deep concerns whether America’s generosity has been put to the best use possible," Trump said at a briefing in the Rose Garden. "If we cannot trust them, if this is what we will receive from the WHO, our country will be forced to find other ways to work with other nations to achieve public health goals." By the numbers: The WHO's 2018–2019 budget was about $6 billion, and the U.S. is by far the biggest donor of any country, contributing more than $400 million to the organization last year. "American taxpayers provided between $400 million and $500 million per year to the WHO. In contrast, China contributes roughly $40 million a year, or even less," Trump said Tuesday. "As the organization’s leading sponsor, the United States has a duty to insist on full accountability. One of the most dangerous and costly decisions from the WHO was its disastrous decision to oppose travel restrictions from China and other nations.”

Scientists Pinpoint 2 Causes Behind China’s Deadly Coronavirus – They’re Both Shocking Scientists identified two possible root causes of Coronavirus: the consumption of wildlife such as bats in Wuhan and potential leak of virus. Published: January 27, 2020 9:22 AM UTC After missing the crucial containment window, scientists are blaming two fundamental factors that're likely behind the coronavirus outbreak. | Scientists narrowed down causes of Coronavirus to cross-species transmission of the pathogen from bats or snakes, and potential laboratory leak in Wuhan. SARS and MERS were also said to have been caused by bats in 2004. Hong Kong and China have declared a state of emergency as confirmed cases of the virus rapidly increase. Scientists have identified two possible root causes of Coronavirus: the consumption of wildlife such as bats in Wuhan and the potential leak of the virus at a well-protected center. Both Mers and SARS, two deadly respiratory diseases caused by Coronavirus, were also suspected to have been caused by bats. Cause #1: Bat eating in Wuhan, 2019-nCoV found in snakes spreading Coronavirus When the Coronavirus outbreak was first publicized, scientists theorized that the Coronavirus likely spread from bats to snakes, and eventually to humans. The Wildlife Conservation Society said on January 23 that unregulated wild animal trading leaves areas vulnerable to virus spillover. In recent weeks, Chinese influences and streamers were heavily criticized by the public for releasing videos of consuming bats. Wang Mengyun, a Chinese celebrity, apologized after a video of her eating a fried bat in 2017 went viral. Whether Coronavirus or other forms of the virus can be transferred to humans after being fried or exposed to high heat remains unclear. Studies suggest that the virus is likely to have spread when managing live bats in the poorly regulated live animal market. The Journal of Medical Virology said that the 2019-nCoV of snakes is likely to have caused cross-species transmission from snakes to humans. The study read: Currently, scientists believe it is either bats, snakes, or both that led the deadly Coronavirus to spill in inexpertly run live animal markets in Wuhan and other parts of China. nCoV in China that is suspected to be main cause of Coronavirus | Source: Journal of Medical Virology Cause #2: Potential leak from a facility studying the virus In 2017, China established the Wuhan National Biosafety Laboratory to study some of the world’s most powerful virus and pathogens. At the time, New Jersey-based Rutgers University molecular biologist Richard Bright said that many things can go wrong with the laboratory. He said that when testing pathogens on animals like monkeys, there is a possibility it can leak through various ways. “These facilities are inherently dual use,” said Ebright, noting that the monkeys that are being tested could show volatile behavior. He said: Based on the development of the virus and the studies that have emerged in recent weeks, cross-species transmission from bats or snakes to humans is a more likely cause of the Coronavirus than a possible facility leak. Scientists are reluctant towards completely dismissing a facility leak as a potential cause of the Coronavirus outbreak because of the SARS leak in 2004. Indeed, there’s increasing speculation that the Wuhan Institute of Virology may have inadvertently leaked the Coronavirus. The Chinese economy and the stock market have trembled following the outbreak, causing significant instability in the country

3,625,000 Americans have been tested for the corona virus, 672,200 confirmed cases, 34,310 deaths, 54,510 recovered. 18.54% positive results, .86% death rate to cases tested, 5.11% death rate to confirmed cases, 8.11% recovered from severe cases I presume as most confirmed cases are restricted to quarantine for 14 to 21 days. The average cost for the new Covid-19 test is 51.91 = $188,173,750 in which the federal government has paid for and will continue to pay for all Covid-19 testing. The US congress in the 2.2 trillion bailout put back 200 billion for hospitals and uninsured medical treatment for those without insurance for whatever reason. According to the Herald, Osmel Martinez Azcue had been to China for work and returned to Miami in January with “flu-like symptoms.” He went to Jackson Memorial Hospital since he worried that he may have contracted the new coronavirus disease, now called COVID-19. The initial cost for his visit was $3,270, billed to his insurance company. If the federal government would have not stepped in and covered the cost of all testing for Covid-19 it could be $10,676,550,000 just for initial testing and not including medical treatments.

Interesting that you use the political response but do not list the Center for Disease Control's response, or even the World Heath Organization response to the corona virus, which are both non political organizations funded mostly by the US taxpayers. Why in the hell would I watch President Trump anyway? He didn't create this virus, China and Communistic Government of China created this problem for the world, and now it appears they have covered up the truth, and the Governor of the State I live in issues all the guidelines I have to follow, not the President or the federal government. I most certainly don't pay any attention to the career politicians like Pelosi and Schumer or even McConnell for the facts and to tell the people the truth. The beginning of the post: Just more facts for all to ponder: One Nation Under God, supposed to be indivisible, but that is not the case is it ?

Just more facts for all to ponder: One Nation Under God, supposed to be indivisible, but that is not the case is it ? Here’s the real timeline of what happened (all of this BEFORE we had even one death in the US): 1/6 CDC issues travel advisory for Wuhan. 1/11 CDC tweets about corona related “pneumonia outbreak in China” 1/14 WHO tweets that there is no evidence of human to human transmission. 1/17 CDC started doing health screenings at 3 airports of travelers from China. 1/21 first case in US for someone who traveled directly from Wuhan. 1/23 WHO again says no human to human transmission outside of China. 1/27 WHO raises alert level but is still saying China has it contained. 1/28 CDC states “ While CDC considers covid a serious situation and is taking preparedness measures, the immediate risk in the US is considered low.” 1/29 White House announces Coronavirus Task Force created Note - this is despite the WHO downplaying the threat! 1/31 Trump bans travel from China. Media and multiple Democrats slam President Trump's decision calling it racist/xenophobic. 2/5 Trump acquitted (impeachment). Chuck Schumer in a tweet continues to call Trumps’ travel ban from China “premature and racist" 2/7 White House’s Coronavirus Task Force gives press briefing. 2/9 White House Coronavirus Task Force meets with all governors regarding virus. 2/12 CDC waiting for approval from Chinese for CDC team to travel to China. 2/18 HHS announces partnership to develop vaccine. 2/21 Italy identifies its very first case in their country. 2/21 CDC tweets that it is working with States for preparedness. 2/24 Trump sent letter to Congress asking for $25B for virus effort. Nancy Pelosi made a stop in Chinatown and encouraged people to “please come and visit and enjoy Chinatown.” 2/25 there is still no reported community spread in the US!!! (Per CDC tweet.) 2/27 first community transmission in US. 2/27 Trump appoints Pence to coordinate efforts. 2/29 FIRST reported Covid19 death in US. 3/4 democrats slam the president for "not doing enough fast enough It is helpful to look at the actual timeline. All of this happened BEFORE the 1st death in US. I got most of this info from CDC tweets so anyone can look it up to check for accuracy. There were many more actions in between, I just took some highlights.
