TVs these days isn't build to last that long. The thinner they are, they shorther they live. This because they get wormer. Thicker TVs have room for more cooling options, and air circulation. But normally a modern TV is made to last 5-8 years on avarage. They don't build things to last anymore, because there is no money in it. They only make money if you buy a new TV every 2-3 years. Some get lucky to have one last a long time, others don't. My last TV lasted 25 minutes before it came smoke out of it, and that one cost about $3000

The TV doesn't change, then you see it brighten up, its only the reflection of the IR part of the cameras, which is what makes us see in the dark. when the lights come off. But yes, TVs like that isn't build to be on for days.

Use google translate as the rest of us do. Not everybody can read or right english as good, so it sometimes is better to write in their native tongue, and let google translate it in stead. Google does a better job than some people do themself. This way more people can join in. Seems to be working fine for my part.

As far as I know the Schengen agreement is only valid for EU countries, Litchenstein and Norway (maybe also Switcherland), but Russia doesn't have this agreement. So it they should be following normal visa rules, which might be 2 months as said before. But one thing is for sure, one day or another they're leaving the house for good.
