Other than our curiosity about how tenants are remunerated and as such perhaps change our viewing habits to ensure more goes to our favourites it serves no purpose. In fact all the debate here has probably detracted from the amount of time spent actually viewing apartments. Also some of the contributors have in the past openly admitted they do not watch E,L & P. This debate has gone beyond E, L & P and should not be clogging up their specific forum, any general debate relevant to all realms should be in the VH section with a separate topic if needed. The same applies when any thread goes off at a tangent relative to another apartment (as has happened with Misty, Lisa and others in the E,L&P topic), that conversation should move to the appropriate forum for those people. The number of comments in this topic has now meant that it is flagged as 'Hot' even though a great deal of the conversation is not directly about E,L&P but all apartments. Hi Ash, hope you a well. Sorry but I don't have an answer for you and unless VHTV decides to publish a definitive article on their business model and their calculation methods I don't think you are going to get a reliable response. Everything posted in the many pages here may make interesting reading and prompt further questions but ultimately it is all conjecture. I have only posted to try and stop this misconception that the number of views shown on CC is the number of views on the apartment which is only fuelling the debate further. Take care.

No! Your table does not show how many views the apartment has had. It might have had none. Your numbers only show how many people are reading the topic on CC and in fact every time you post an article or read a post in the topic then the numbers go up, so each time you are adding to your own statistics. Also have you not noticed that there is a 'views' count for each topic (see image) which will increase each time it is viewed even if you go back and look at older closed sections the counter will go up. Your statistics only show the level of usage of the forums and has no bearing on the number of views in VHTV.

This is NOT how many views the apartment has. If you are using the 'views' value shown in CC for your calculations then this has no bearing on how many times the apartment has been viewed. It only tells you how many times the topic in CC has been viewed which does not in any way relate to their income.

I need to be educated on how you could see the views of Em at 3:45 and then those at 11:45. Many thanks. The point that is being missed here is that, as I understand it, the number of views displayed in the CC Forums for any particular topic is the number of views that topic has received and in no way relates to the number of views the apartment is receiving in VHTV. Therefore this figure is completely irrelevant in how much any particular apartment is being paid. The tenants receive nothing from CC, not for number of forum views or for anything else. This may beg the question how can a forum topic receive so many views in any given time period, well it is partly driven by those actively contributing, who are continually returning to the topic each time something new is posted, the rest are by those who are not contributing. To give you an idea of the volume of CC users, at the time of writing this there are 5,487 users online in CC (just click on the 'Online Users' tab in CC to see them). Of those only 164 are either 'Premium Members' or 'Members' who are logged in and able to contribute to a forum. The other 5,323 'Guest' users could easily rack up that number of views between them.

I have always understood the timeline graph to be representative of the number of viewers at any point in time. The kitchen ones will always show a steady stream as will all 'free' cameras because they are constantly viewed by those without a subscription in the hope of something happening. A significant point to note is that there is no scale, does a high peak indicate 10, 100, 1000 people watching that page (also the scale is likely to be dynamic/variable and different for each room dependent upon the stats at any point in time). I do not think the app used by tenants shows the timeline as we see it. Because the number of views represents money it is more likely to be very specific and include actual numbers, the chart, to be easily viewable on a phone, is probably grouped into larger blocks of time. As far as the mentioned comparison between Em and Lisa's timeline I can only assume that the huge debates on here are prompting subscribers to keep looking (even if momentarily) at E&S in case something is happening. The whole Em and Sid production on here is reminiscent of the SXGD debacle which kept feeding views to their apartment for months.

I seem to recall someone on here recently speaking with Lisa during her brief experiment with Chatubate and at that time she indicated that they still hadn’t decided upon a name. 🐈 I’m sure once decided she will find a way to let us know (i.e. written big on a piece of paper and left on the bed 😀)
