    It has been said that there are light sleepers and that there are heavy sleepers. But do they make good bed partners?? We all know Kira is a light sleeper - she can wake up at the drop of a pin in the hallway. We all know Nina is a heavy sleeper - a blaring fire alarm or an 8.0 fucking earthquake could not rouse her from her slumber. But is this a healthy arrangement? Neither snore to keep each other awake, but there are sleepytime dynamics that I think each tolerate (to some extent -mostly Kira) of the other. Here we see Kira rising just after 0700 SPB and already at work by 0740 SPB. I predict that Nina will wake up around 1500, and actually lift her head off the pillow around 1600, when Kira brings her tea. 🙄 Sleeping arrangements with significant others can be difficult unless you establish a routine through trial-n-error. Even after 8+ years together, I think N&K are still in the trial-n-error stage. Or still in the "K is tolerating N" stage. I appreciate that Kira can operate on 4 hours of sleep (just one of her many many many many beautiful skills and attributes) but it has to take a toll on her soul. ❤️

    If it really was a roach, this is HILARIOUS, because "back in the day" at you-know-where during the bedroom carpet replacement, Nina was petrified of a spider in the corner of the bedroom, and Kira had to come rescue her from the itty bitty spider. And now the roles are reversed - Nina rescues Kira from a creepy crawly bug in the bathroom? Awesome! You can't make this stuff up, folks. I love it.

    I thought at first that this was going to be a romantic movie night with a tub of raspberry ice cream... BUT this is not a tub of raspberry ice cream, it is a tub of some kind of fruit that they mix with their tea in their coffee mugs and eat with spoons. What is this stuff?

    Oh boy, this brings back memories. I said nearly the exact same thing, what, over 6 years ago, when N&K were still at RLC and I first joined RLC. I of course immediately locked on to N&K (among a few others), and after watching them for a few months, I became concerned about what I was observing, and even made a post on the RLC forum (now known as "discussed") titled "How Much Abuse Can One Person Take" or something like that. Then, after some helpful hints from other fans, along with reading the past history in the archives, and continuing to observe them, I began to understand their dynamic. It's a strange dynamic some of us may not be familiar with, especially those of us in America, but it definitely is not abuse nor submission nor a master/slave situation. Continue to watch them, bosco, and you will slowly realize what we mean. As The Kid succinctly put it - it's LOVE. I hope you continue observing and eventually you will understand, and become a superfan! 🙂

    Actually, I was going to mention something to that effect, but I know how even the mention of Doe gets everyone here in a tizzy, and I don't want to start that. But your speculation makes sense - Nina and Doe were carefully repairing their fractured relationship (without Kira), and it looked promising, and then Doe decides to move far away. That would explain Nina's breakdown and Kira's bemused and unconcerned response. However, I can assure you, Doe is not leaving SPB anytime soon. Trust me on that. 😉

    Ehhh, 2020 hasn't affected me negatively in the least, in fact it has generated more work for me (and mo' money!), but then again I remind myself I'm not the center of the world. Sadly millions of others have lost jobs and are in debt because of 2020. So I agree partially how it might be affecting N&K emotionally. But they've been able to go out shopping, visit with people, even have a concert, among many other things. So they are not hurting THAT much. I think an answer to the Kid's legitimate observance is that the "girls" we knew so many years ago are no longer "girls" now - they are grown adult women, and Life is definitely different for them now than when they started RLC. I feel as a person transitions from their early 20s to their late 20s, changes happen, "growing up" so to speak. Things that weren't a concern to them 8+ years ago are a concern now. As we say here in America, "adulting is hard" and 2020 has certainly made it harder for everyone. Just my two kopiyoks 😉

    I looked at the timeline, and indeed, Nina was quite upset at whatever it was about, but Kira was clearly mildly amused and not at all concerned. Yet she stayed by Nina's side comforting her (of course). But I assume the issue was trivial, except for Nina. We know how Nina's emotions are easily triggered - she cries at the end of sad movies, for example. We'll never know, of course, but it apparently wasn't anything major.

    If this is the same one I watched on the timeline, whoever the dude is, he pulled out and shot an impressive - I mean impressive - load on her back, like nearly over her head. It was almost Peter North-worthy. Definitely worth saving (that's what she said)

    While it is wonderful to see everyone's heartfelt birthday wishes for Nina, with all the cute gifs of cats and such (guilty myself) let us not forget that Nina is our vicious attack DUCK. 😁

    Thanks! Working every day one way or another, paying the bills. I feel lucky being one of the few unaffected by this virus thing. I truly feel sorry for those who have been - I encounter them all the time. Quick D&R to Hburg in the morning, make some hay for the horses in the PM. Great weather for this week in Virginia. Interestingly, nearly the same temps in St PB as here.

    I'm pretty sure they were for me, @Kjeld Carlsen 😁😅 Interestingly, for once Nina was out of the door WAY before Kira, a total reversal. And last night in bed Nina was making moves on a tired Kira. Whatever is going on with Nina, I hope it continues!

    With October and Halloween fast approaching, I think now it's time for everyone's favorite posting - Sturmy's Observance of the Supernatural at Nina & Kira's apartment! For those who are new here, there are WEIRD THINGS that occur at Nina & Kira's apartments, no matter which apartment they have been in, something STRANGE has always occurred whenever they were either out of the apartment, or during their sleep. Sights and sounds and weird stuff. Many were explained away as "elevators" or things moving because of the cats. A few have not been explained. I offer this latest one as an example. Indulge me! Everyone has heard of "orbs" - transparent balls or globes connected to the spiritual world. Orbs are seen in photographs, but especially evident in IR light. No scientific explanation for them. On 9-20-2020 at exactly 18:44, N/K turn out the hall light and exit the apartment. The IR kicks in, and you can immediately see a lighted object in the lower right corner from the hall cam. It HOVERS, then does this strange loop-de-loop, HOVERS again, then zooms off toward the kitchen. Last I saw of it. Now, some will dismiss this as a moth or some kind of flying bug -but I've never witnessed a moth fly around in such a calculated manner. Moths are dumb insects with poor navigational skills. Also, if it were a moth or some other flying bug, Butch and Sundance would be all over it! Also also, how would a moth get inside their apartment to begin with? Result: it must a spiritual orb. A ghost, if you will. CHANGE MY MIND! Go! (btw: boo! 👻)

    Indeed, "Léon: The Professional" is a brilliant film, critically acclaimed but still seriously underrated. Outstanding performance by Gary Oldman, as well. 25 years later it still holds its own. Le French know how to make good films.
