    I don’t watch RLC so I can’t say much about any tenants. But, surely one’s worth is defined by their ability to attract viewers who then become subscribers. Taking cams and plopping them into 10 random apt would surely fail in a scorching blaze of utter boredom, no?

    Yep, cause I don’t pay for any of it. I do think if there were a hundred Matilda apts and one D&D apt, the Matilda apts would soon close on their own volition. I do have to wonder if having so many rather slow apts eventually hurts the profitability of all tenants. There has to be some breaking point for the mid to low earning tenants. I guess since most are managed, that as soon as the tenants can’t pay the bills with earnings it’s go time. Maybe I’m just surprised some of these people have managed to stay longer then I expected. I do wonder how much the managers have carried slow tenants hoping for a better future only to lose their ass.

    Do you know what it takes to get kicked off from RLC in terms of low viewer audience or is it the case, that once you’re on, you’re always on no matter what you do and no matter if anybody watches you? My guess is that there is a threshold and the tenants are very much aware of what they have to do at a minimum in order to remain viable and earn that check.

    @Thestarider I think the only reason why you can say that about the success of RLC is because they were essentially first. For years, their only competition was really Voyeur-Villa, which was a spec compared to RLC. I bet of you ran a poll, you’d find that about 80% of the people here got here because of an RLC ad re-direct while they were surfing porn. You can argue that a voyeur is one who views, but I think most people go the next step and define it as a person who views unsuspecting others. I don’t think people define themselves as voyeurs when they are watching porn. It’s semantics, but I think by in large people think of voyuers they way I defined it.

    Not what you want, what the collective wants. It’s like a bell curve, there are slow apts and fast apts, the wave is always pushing towards the faster apts. Clearly the oversexed apts are getting more views. The taste of money is enticing. There are clearly rules in place. For me, I don’t really care if the system is fair or not anymore. It is what it is and I am not trying to tell them what to do. Just explaining it how I see it. As I see VHTV now, I tend to agree that it shouldn’t matter if the apt is a fuckpad or a camming pit stop or whatever a tenant wants it to be. Maybe someone wants to set up a woodworking shop so people can watch a guy sculpt furniture all day. The viewers can decide what’s worth watching and what isn’t. Let VHTV sort out the rest themselves. Curious if you guys think VHTV should enforce a minimum daily, weekly, or monthly earning rate? That is, an apt has to earn a certain amount of views in a day, week, month, what have you or be dismissed from the site? If not, could you live with a hundred Gia and Anthony type apts? A some point surely the money in the big pot starts to deflate and even decent, but fairly low earning apts start to reconsider if it’s worth it. I suppose growth can solve that problem, but to what extent is that feasible, I don’t know.

    It’s interesting cause to a point the subscriber is paying for a raw view through the cams, but it seems that what they are actually paying for is the type of content they want to see more of through the cams. With every view, the subscriber is voting for that type of content. Surely, the tenants and the site owners are compelled to follow the viewing demands of the viewer. Call me crazy, but I think the viewers want to see sex, lots and lots of sex of all kinds. 😂🤣😂

    Yes, for sure, I can’t be anything else but that. One would think that the site owners would be voyeurs themselves and they would have a strong desire to preserve as close to a real voyeur experience as possible. The problem is that it would be way too boring for most people and very few would subscribe to that for very long. There has to be a push. On VHTV the push is views earn money, on RLC I think push is views earn you a right to stay and keep earning a paycheck. RLC has it good for a long time and they still dominate this business for now. They are lucky that people tend to stick with what they know and what they have invested themselves into. But, the threat is real and the competition will continue to weigh on them and ultimately will push the genre further away from an ideal voyeur experience and into more cam shows type performances. RLC knows this and that’s why the Barcelona apts exist. They let off steam so the rest can still be what was intended. I have no doubt without the Barcelona apts RLC would crumble down to Voyeur-Villa status.

    Then that would mean practically everyone is a voyeur and if everyone is a voyeur how can you make a distinction between them? Surely there is a categorical difference between someone who seeks out sexual gratification from unaware others and someone who seeks out sexual gratification from seeing a sexual performance that was intended for viewing. I think for all practical purposes we use the term to voyeur to mean someone who habitually seeks sexual gratification from another without the others awareness.

    Here, I'll give my opinion. Voyeurism is whatever the tenants and RLC says it is. It's a word that really has no meaning here because the tenants are aware of the cams. Voyeurism can only really occur when the target of the voyeur is unaware of the voyeur. That's impossible here, so what you are watching is always going to be pretend voyeurism as managed by the tenants and site owner. You can try and get them to be what you want them to be, but they probably won't listen because they know how the money flows and you don't. I will tell you from my own experience, trying to change the site to be what you want it to be is a dead end especially if what you want is as close to pure voyeurism as possible.

    Yep! I can dig that point of view. It’s an interesting conundrum that VHTV is in with respect to rules. They can’t say anything goes really, yet they also can’t be too restrictive either. I guess they have to look at it as a whole and make adjustments along the way. My big gripes had to do with how they let things slide and how that created some degree of disadvantage for rather normal couples, like Violet and Jeff, for example. I give them a hard time, but I know that there are somethings that they do to try and keep some modicum of voyeurism alive. Otherwise, this place would be just like Spygasm with tenants essentially begging for money. Ok, I’ll walk away now. Danger zone stuff for poor me. 😎

    I agree, I think a fuckpad apt or even a camshow apt should be ok, but do you think anything should go though? Even blatant looking into the cams and taking requests or maybe even putting up signs and begging for donations? It could get crazy, no? I can see the appeal of the anything goes model. The only problem is a matter of fairness. How are rather normal people going to survive and won’t it just steer each subsequent apt to push the envelope more and more? I guess some rules have to come into play at some point.

    This was the original problem with Alan and Nina. They thought sex was the only thing that mattered. It doesn’t and for long term success it’s a bad play. What’s happening is that they are watching the app and every time they have sex is spins. Very soon it will spin slower and slower no matter how much sex they have and they will either leave, start arguing, or realize that people want to see a more natural amount of sex and start to think about guests.

    Sara asked VHTV to delete the videos of her and they did. You’ll have to hope someone can send them to you via pm, but since you’re new and nobody really knows who you are they probably won’t do it. I didn’t really save any of the videos myself. I was always more interested in knowing what was going to happen then what did happen and I’m just not much into collecting. Good luck!
