I haven't met anyone on CamCaps, ever. If they say they are black (and I'm certain we have darker-skinned people) or squirrels, or LGBT, or necrophiliacs, I pretty much have to take their word for it, since I can't prove what a member actually is.

Hell, not even all of those who claim to be squirrels are really squirrels. I'm really sure of that.

It doesn't really matter to me, anyway.

I know a proud black over at RLCF. But I generally know very little about other member' etnicity, it's not something they usually flag on here, atleast to a much lesser extent than nationallity, and honestly, it is pretty irrelevant to the daily discussions, it doesn't really matter how you look and where you come from. But it is nice to meet people from different cultures and backgrounds. Personally, my anncestry is like super boring, it's all been small farmers from mid-Norway for several centuries.

I agree that it doesn't matter. I just don't get the impression that there are many black people here. I would be curious to know the actual % just out of my own curiosity.

I would imagine there are a few Members that are Black.  Not many members makes their ethnicity known. At Cam Caps we have Members from all over the Globe.

I've been around for quite a while and I don't think I have ever met anyone who is black. Does such a person exist on CamCaps?

Have only just noted this topic and my immediate reaction was what a strange comment.!! How do you know you haven't chatted to anyone black? Why would a black person not be on Camcaps? For all you know I might be black. It just seemed rather a weird comment. What I do find strange is that most people on here don't even say where they are from as if it's some state secret or something or whether they are male or female. After all it would be good to know at least what country anyone is from at least then you have a point of reference.

There may be several factors, there have been a total of two black people that I recall on the "real life cam" style sites,  both of which were from VH-TV and they didn't last long. Perhaps black people would rather watch other black people so they stay on "black" sites. It could also be that culturally CC is predominantly white in that there aren't many "urban" style writers so they feel out of place. It could also be cultural, perhaps they prefer more personal interactions and don't see the appeal of watching others from a distance and never communicating with them. It may also be that their personal lives are more fulfilling to them than spending time on the internet, or that watching porn of any kind is considered a weakness. It's not just camcaps, I would say 95% of mainstream porn is white oriented, rarely do I see black women featured on mainstream porn sites. It could also be that the typical ways that people find sites like RLC and CC are via larger "white" oriented sites that black people typically don't frequent. That's not to say that I don't think there are some black people who frequent CC, but I would guess they make up a small percentage.
