With the way the federal government manages and spends money, the last thing we should ever do is give them more of our money to manage and spend. Only a fool would want to do that or someone like YOU who probably has never paid a penny of income tax in his/her entire life.

social security and medicare are amongst the most favourite  federal programs in the USA, and most people are happy with them. however there are corruption and waste in other areas such as military.

I probably want Bernie to be the Democratic Party's presidential nominee more than you do. I just wish AOC were old enough to be his VP candidate.  Then they would both have the national stage to themselves to reveal their ignorance and stupidity to all the American people.

I hope your wishes come true and Bernie becomes the Democratic nominee, unfortunately AOC is too young for VP.

And did you know that the CEO of Amazon, Jeff Bezos, is a liberal progressive Democrat who is also the owner of the Washington Post? The same Washington Post which attacks President Trump every day.

Jeff Bezos might be a liberal in its cultural sense but he definitely is economically conservative. Washington post attacks Bernie more than Trump.

I can assure you that Bernie Saunders is everything that embodies a pure socialist.  Nothing that any of those countries have implemented is in his agenda.  Those countries are as capitalist as they come.  His agenda is pure Cuba/Venezuela/Nicaragua

All the European countries (plus Canada, Australia, japan, south Korea) have one version or another of single payer health care, most of these countries have tuition free colleges, and a living wage is a reality in these countries. these are exactly the  same things Bernie advocate in the USA. he never said he wants the USA to become like Cuba or Venezuela , these are just talking points that right wingers use to discredit him.

where and when did he say he was going to put CEOs of fossil fuel companies in prison ? and what was the context ? can you provide some reference please ?

and about medicare for all, the fact is USA spends twice per capita on healthcare in comparison to majority of industrial world and still does not cover every American. so what he is going to do is to transfer the money that's being paid to insurance companies to US treasury in form of new taxes, therefore there will no longer be any premium, deductible and co-payment, instead people will pay  more in taxes, but most American including middle class would end up saving money as the amount they pay in new taxes will be significantly less than what they pay for premium, deductible and co-payment, and everyone would be covered.

for tuition free college this is how he is going to pay for it

Tax Wall Street Gambling to Cancel All Student Debt and Pay for College for All

We can guarantee higher education as a right for all and cancel all student debt for an estimated $2.2 trillion. To pay for this, we will impose a tax of a fraction of a percent on Wall Street speculators who nearly destroyed the economy a decade ago. This Wall Street speculation tax will raise $2.4 trillion over the next ten years. It works by placing a 0.5 percent tax on stock trades – 50 cents on every $100 of stock – a 0.1 percent fee on bond trades, and a 0.005 percent fee on derivative trades.

If Wall Street can be bailed out for several trillion dollars, 45 million Americans can and will be bailed out of the $1.6 trillion burden of student loan debt and we can provide free college for all. Some 40 countries throughout the world have imposed a similar tax, including Britain, South Korea, Hong Kong, Brazil, Germany, France, Switzerland and China."  from https://berniesanders.com/issues/free-college-cancel-debt/

and the green new deal is very extensive you can read through his plan if you are interested:https://berniesanders.com/en/issues/green-new-deal/

...............

and there is a huge difference between a socialism and a democratic socialism. socialism is based on publicly owned means of productions, equality of income and etc, but democratic socialism is basically what exist in most of Europe and to some extent in the USA , it's a mixture of Socialism and Capitalism.

and on your last point I do not watch MSNBC or CNN. in fact they hate Bernie Sanders as much as Fox news does. they either do not cover him at all or if they do it is in negative light. Because he present a threat to establishment, and after-all this big news corporation are owned by billionaires who do not want to see an increase in their taxes.

Don't you even watch your big hero, Bernie? Check Google and Youtube for his comments about putting fossil fuel executives in prison.

I live in Canada.  I am well aware of how our HC system works.  The system works for the most part.  The US is far too big and complicated to suddenly change.  He is blowing smoke and knows it will never work.  As for university, free stuff is fine, but the Greek model and others prove that somewhere the free stuff has to be paid for.  If you think that taxing a bunch of billionaires is all that needs to be done, then you do not understand the entrepreneurial spirit of America, human nature nor basic economics.  But then again, you are a socialist, so yeah.

I am not brainwashed or ignorant, in fact I think critically about the issues and make my judgement based on reality. please criticise my points of view with logic and reason, as I do not see how personal attacks can help the conversation.

if you need to know I am a middle class British citizen, and I am not a student. I work and pay my taxes. as you might know we have a progressive tax system in the Great Britain, so it increases as you make more money. and I am happy to pay my taxes as I know most of it goes into right causes such as the NHS (National Health Service), Housing, and welfare which helps the entire nation.

A Brit. Now I understand why your comments are so repulsive to me. The last thing we need in the U.S. is a socialist form of government like you have in Britain and the rest of Europe. Maybe Boris Johnson can help save your sad country, but I doubt it.

"Washington Post attacks Bernie more than Trump." That is such an ignorant, stupid, and uninformed comment. The Washington Post and New York Times have attacked Donald Trump everyday since he announced he was running for president.

Hell no, Bernie will never say that he wants the U.S. to become like Cuba or Venezuela, but if his insane policies are enacted that is exactly what will happen.  THANK GOD YOU ARE UNABLE TO VOTE IN OUR ELECTION.

So why would the U.S. ever want to embrace European economic policies that have destroyed the economy of Europe? If the EU system is so great why did the people of Britain vote to leave the EU?

THE MOST FAVORITE THINGS THAT AMERICANS LIKE ABOUT AMERICA ARE FREEDOM, FREE ENTERPRISE, AND CAPITALISM, WHICH ALLOW THEM THE ABILITY TO IMPROVE THEIR ECONOMIC POSITION IN LIFE.
