Looks like the Linda & Tibor main topics are in the "TIME OUT MODE". Why not leave it open and just punish/ban those members from steadily posting nonsense or being rude and disrespectful? 

By the way, haven't seen the "ban hammer" being used lately -

Just because you don't see it doesn't mean it's not out in full force. Many times it used before the perpetrator even gets to post.

Arguing with folks you don't even know about things they have no clue about seems a bit childish to me. But, what do you expect with a bunch of basement fappers on phones?
