You don't know that until the Revolution they were still on the old calendar?

Yes I am sure.Your calendar link shows Jan 7th as Orthodox Christmas Day. The Orthodox Church uses the Julian Calendar. Russian's of course use the gregorian calendar for their everyday lives (at least since the October Revolution which happened in November for the same reason).
