The definition of the word Conundrum is: something that is puzzling or confusing.

Here are six Conundrums of socialism in the United States of America :

1. America is capitalist and greedy - yet half of the population is subsidized.

2. Half of the population is subsidized - yet they think they are victims.

3. They think they are victims - yet their representatives run the government.

4. Their representatives run the government - yet the poor keep getting poorer.

5. The poor keep getting poorer - yet they have things that people in other countries only dream about.

6. They have things that people in other countries only dream about - yet they want America to be more like those other countries.

Think about it! And that, my friends, pretty much sums up the USA in the 21st Century.

Makes you wonder who is doing the math.

These three, short sentences tell you a lot about the direction of our current government and cultural environment:

1. We are advised to NOT judge ALL Muslims by the actions of a few lunatics, but we are encouraged to judge ALL gun owners by the actions of a few lunatics.

Funny how that works. And here's another one worth considering...

2. Seems we constantly hear about how Social Security is going to run out of money.  But we never hear about welfare or food stamps running out of money?  What's interesting is the first group "worked for" their money, but the second didn't.

Think about it.....and Last but not least,

3. Why are we cutting benefits for our veterans, no pay raises for our military and cutting our army to a level lower than before WWII, but we are not stopping the payments or benefits to illegal aliens.

Am I the only one missing something?

Ditto for the UK.

The only difference is that the UK is many years further down the road to Euro-Socialism. Eventually all productive work will cease and everyone will be poor and everyone will need to be subsidised......BUT where will the money come from?

Of course once we reach that position society will break down. Social order will cease, governments will be bankrupt. The army won't be able to cope having been slashed year on year.

Our good Muslim friends who will have been doing nothing over many years other than claiming benefits and plotting their takeover will activate and disrupt society even more. Our government will ask for 'tolerance' and 'understanding' and demand we all 'respect' their 'rights' because they are a worldwide religion and must not be judged harshly because of the actions of a small minority. Sharia Law will prevail, women will be confined to their 'homes', veils and burkas will be worn by all women whether they are Muslim or not because Muslim men can't control themselves and would be more likely to rape and attack them for daring to show any part of their body to the world.

Meanwhile the peace loving 'Romany' immigrants together with the uneducated East European immigrants will demand more benefits because it is their 'rights' as needy immigrants who because they can't speak English are not expected to be able to work. Their 'contribution' to the spike in street crime will spike even further. The local police will not dare move to clear the streets for fear of being seen to be 'racist'. (NOTE: This has already happened in a small northern town in the UK called 'Rotherham' where 1400 young white girls have knowingly been abused by Muslim men virtually all of who were of Pakistani origin and who picked on the 'white trash' girls who were as young as 12 years. The Police and local authorities knew this was happening but didn't stop it.)

So as we head towards our Socialist Hell I can only take comfort in the fact that I am likely to have left this world and won't have to suffer the consequences. God help my kids and grand kids though!!

Van,  I believe you are spot on about the Euro-Socialism,  but for that to happen in all of the U.S. I don't see it.  Maybe in the downtrodden cesspools we have for cities, but for the most part we have way to many gun owners for that to happen.  I  know our liberal pals in the gubberment are trying to be gun grabbing idiots, but the only way to get our constitution loving, god fearing, conservatives to give up their guns is when they are in a body bag.  The reason our great liar-in-chief is trying to downsize the military so much is because he knows the military will never turn on the people it protects.  Did you guys know that the idiots cut the National Guard funding by 50%. The reason for this is because it is the State Gov. who has control of it's national guard.  Any conservative governor would mobilize it's Guard the minute our idiot in chief tried to bring in the UN to take our guns.  They would do this to protect the constitution and our rights as the people under that constitution.  Idiot knows this and is trying to cripple the Guard.  I will never give up my guns because I am apart of this Militia.  I am also a volunteer county deputy so technically I am a cop but don't work or get paid, our county sheriffs way of making sure law abiding gun owners don't ever have to worry about our guns.  So in summary if mussies tried that here they would be shot.  Did you know that there are terrorist training camps in the U.S.?  They are supposedly being watch by the C.I.A. and F.B.I., but I  know a group of guys a fairly large group that are actively tracking them and they will no longer be once found.  I have a source in the group that tells me this is going to happen within the year. This group might break every law the U.S. has but they love their country just like I do.  If you don't know the group they once provided security for a pretty famous U.K. band and things might have got out of hand.

Dear friends, Thank you very much for inviting me. Great to be at the Four Seasons. I come from a country that has one season only: a rainy season that starts January 1st and ends December 31st. When we have three sunny days in a row, the government declares a national emergency. So Four Seasons, that's new to me.

It's great to be in New York. When I see the skyscrapers and office buildings, I think of what Ayn Rand said: "The sky over New York and the will of man made visible." Of course. Without the Dutch you would have been nowhere, still figuring out how to buy this island from the Indians. But we are glad we did it for you. And, frankly, you did a far better job than we possibly could have done.

I come to America with a mission. All is not well in the old world. There is a tremendous danger looming, and it is very difficult to be optimistic. We might be in the final stages of the Islamization of Europe. This not only is a clear and present danger to the future of Europe itself, it is a threat to America and the sheer survival of the West. The danger I see looming is the scenario of America as the last man standing. The United States as the last bastion of Western civilization, facing an Islamic Europe. In a generation or two, the US will ask itself: who lost Europe? Patriots from around Europe risk their lives every day to prevent precisely this scenario form becoming a reality.

Two really scary things about this speech:

• he is assuming America won't be part of the Islamization of the world;
  
  • it was presented six years ago today.

Andrew G. Bostom is an American author and Associate Professor of Medicine at Brown University Medical School. He is an expert on connections between homocysteine and cardiovascular disease. From one of his presentations:

… liberty is the most precious of gifts. My generation never had to fight for this freedom, it was offered to us on a silver platter, by people who fought for it with their lives.

All throughout Europe American cemeteries remind us of the young boys who never made it home, and whose memory we cherish. My generation does not own this freedom; we are merely its custodians. We can only hand over this hard won liberty to Europe’s children in the same state in which it was offered to us. We cannot strike a deal with mullahs and imams. Future generations would never forgive us. We cannot squander our liberties. We simply do not have the right to do so.

Interesting how he refers to the number of American soldiers who died to free Europe.
