that's a good point but why b2 is falling appart ? ( heat, water, electricity and now internet) the only difference from before is that we are paying a additional 30$ ... so it's understandable that we are kinda "pissed" ^^'

Sure it is understandable. But i think to complain now is wrong. Afterwards they maybe turn off completely.

Don't worry i don't think rlc will close b2, I like many others only watch b1 , b2 & k&k. So if they close b2 it's easily 40% of their content that will be gone ( and their price won't change ...)

Do you think RLC does not know the problems? They will work on it. What is better for you: Temporarily reduce the quality, or switch off completely? Think about it!

Err, why do you assume it is related with the outages ? It could be plenty of other reasons. There may be aware of it, they may not. It may be a workaround for a better availability of the stream, it may not.

Besides, looking at replay now, it seems to be unrelated to the latest outage/UM. It had started to pixelate before that, during the afternoon. So the "let's reduce the video quality to have the video feed back up" theory may not necessarily be true.

I am not taking chances, and simply filling a support request, which I am perfectly entitled to do about a tech problem. A lot of people, if I believe the forum, are using the support email for venting, complaining about the girls, and giving their opinions, I am just reporting a technical issue.

And yes, if it is really a RLC decision to reduce the video stream quality to keep it online, I actually would prefer for them to put the apartment offline and work on a satisfactory and definitive fix to the various issues. But it is just my opinion.

My pic quality is ok-do not see a difference-could it be because I have over 200mbs internet download?

Yeah, I am looking at it at the moment both on a small and crappy laptop with a shaky WI FI, and on a desktop computer with a good bandwith, and the difference is much more notable on the good computer setup.

Interesting answer from the support.

" Thank you for letting us know about the bad image. We will send this information to the Tech Department immediately.

From today the quality of the video stream has been increased for this apartment. Resolution of the cameras has been switched from 720p to 1080p.

If you are getting a worse quality than before, perhaps, your bandwidth is not enough to receive the new stream.

As a current RLC Replay subscriber, you can check the change of quality between 14:00 and 15:00 (local time of the apartment).

We would be grateful if you could help us to improve the quality by providing more details about the picture on your side and your internet connection. "

So I think it is a botched attempt to increase the quality. If people other than me do have the same issue, it may definitely be worth it to send material to RLC.

BTW : I have optical fiber connection. It is definitely not my bandwith.
