Thank you. What do you think about the .cc domain? I did it as sort of a play on words, as camcaps is often abbreviated as CC.

The other one's won't work. However, new uploads should. They have supposedly fixed it.

tried to upload two videos. The first one I tried to add a password. I got the message "you don't have permission to update this video"

So I tried another one and didn't try to alter any settings. Still the same message.

Third attempt still the same message, although each time the files seem to have uploaded.

Do I have to login and if so do I use the same login as for CC?

I see your videos, I am getting an error for that file type. I've submitted a trouble ticket for it. Do you happen to have some videos in a different format? Say Mp4?

I'll have to try later. Nearly all my videos are in .flv format sadly.

I believe you may need to create an account to login. Your CC credentials will not work at this point. As I said this is a Beta site. Thanks for your help.

Please tell me if you have an issues uploading, or streaming.

I am working on making a Tube style site for camcaps videos, to make it easier to share, reduce bandwidth, and to reduce disk usage on this server.

If it's the ten dollars that bothers you, it's for a worthy cause. And besides, it's probably tax deductible.....

I'm Dutch, so don't part with my hard earned easily, I'd like to know what this worthy cause is and why it should cost us money, considering CC is using a free to use website and has advertising that should cover costs.

I'm a member on a similar style website that is free to use and also is hosted for free.

They don't have advertising and there are no running costs, so just wondering where the money is going.

I said that I would be as straightforward as I can be in the "New Membership Policy" thread so I am going to address your comment. I hope that others who share your concerns will read this as well. 

1. CamCaps is not a "free to use website". Yes the basic forum software is free, but the custom mods, themes, miscellaneous support costs, and advertising are not. 

2. This site is not hosted for free, and never has been. The site currently runs on its own virtual private server which has monthly upfront costs, in addition to bandwidth fees, backup fees, and disk space fees. Once you move out of a shared hosting environment things become a lot more expensive. We far out grew the capabilities of shared hosting. Since moving to this server we have not had any of the issues that we were having (as far as I know). 

3.  Adult oriented sites (which this is) are notoriously hard to monetize. The ads on this site generate very little income. If this were a "regular" site and I could put Google Adsense ads on here it would surely pay for itself and then some. Unfortunately, Google does not allow that, so I am left with adult ad networks that pay pennies for what would otherwise be very profitable traffic. 

4. I am still adding features and trying to improve the site. The developer that I've been working with has been out of town for the last couple of  weeks, so I've been unable to implement a few new features that I think you all will enjoy. Additionally, I am working on a few other things for the site that I am not going to mention right now.

If it's any consolation you're next on the list if a spot opens up. There are total of 3 mods, and they seem to get the job done. I've wanted to add a female mod for awhile.  :)

What exactly am I being asked to pay for, a forum mostly in another language with supposed Pic/Vid posts that turn out to be just uninteresting gossip about nothing, or pictures of unlocked rooms OR downloads from ul which don't work. Are you going to make it a rule that the download programme is accessable by all?. lately I have found it all a bit boring.

 The membership fee is to help pay for costs associated with hosting this site. If you find the content boring or uninteresting then so be it. CamCaps is not a content producer, we simply provide a forum for users to share media and converse about various topics.

Are the attachments that you're trying to attach edited in anyway? Interestingly I see 12 "'Your attachment has failed security checks and cannot be uploaded" errors in the logs, and you're the only one getting them. Apparently, images that have been edited in photoshop can be an issue.

I'll click on the ADD IMAGE icon, and fill out the URL requestor with a site address.

EDIT: OK, I tried that and it passed security, although nothing was done with the site address that i typed in.

I'll look into it. Thanks. Some things were inadvertently screwed up when trying to fix the server problem yesterday.

I can't upload an image on either the Win7 or the Ubuntu machine.

Plus, the message composing icons are radically different (suddenly) on the Ubuntu machine, and the "insert image" icon is asking me for a URL.

I'll switch browsers and try to manually insert the "img" code.

I just updated the Editor. Are you trying to insert into a post, or add attachments? Add attachments should work.

Funny. With Chrome, everything works fine. I should have known. 

Yeah, those types of errors/issues can be really annoying especially when you're trying to fix a problem.

:P I should have just opened a new tab. But no. If you click webcams on our page it goes to the Chaturbate review page. Click their login button and it goes to a blank black screen.

I am not sure. I just tested it in three different browsers and it worked. For about 5 mins there were two "Webcams" links, which I fixed. Perhaps your browser is caching the broken one?

Does that just link us to Chaturbate? Or are they both under your care. Because I can't log in to Chaturbate from our link. It goes to a blank page, but I can do so direct to the site.

Try again I just tested it. It's basically a re-branded chaturbate.
