  1. LOL. I also know the words "poop" and "darn" but wouldn't use them in mixed company... I didn't really like Bush, older and younger, as a president either. Younger Bush was simply a mouthpiece for Dad and no good came from Dad's politics. No director of the CIA should ever be president; especially one whose grandfather was part of the cabal that initiated the Federal Reserve (If you don't already know about the secret meeting at the end of 1910 I think, on Jeckyl Island off the coast of Georgia). I've been watching a young fellow named Ben Shapiro speechify and I like what he says. He is a "never Trumper" but he has fairly good reasons for it that don't include hate or whininess. I think he got me when, during a post-speech Q and A, he asked that the liberal leftists get in the line first because, "it is far more fun to argue with those who disagree with me than those who already agree." Although he tries to limit the number of questions from each person to give equal air-time to others, if you have good questions or arguments he will continue to engage you...as time will allow. His responses are concise. However, he can also be brutally abrupt. When the next presidential election rolls around, Shapiro will be old enough to run. If he runs, he will probably run as a conservative libertarian but has a good chance of unseating both the Reps and Dems. I believe there are quite a few members of both parties who will jump ship and swim to his. If he wins, all the freeloaders better be prepared to pull their own weight.
  2. I thought I should point out that the dems and reps wanted him gone for two separate reasons. The Democrats wanted him gone because he was investigating Mrs Clinton and ex-prez Obama; not because he was incompetent. Trump fired him because he closed the case on Hilary, which he shouldn't have, and hadn't closed the case on Trump, and should have because of all the problems it causes with the uninformed rabble. But more than that he was waffling terribly at the congressional hearing and Trump has no tolerance for that; which I agree with.
  3. I think it may be a little early to tell about Trump. He doesn't have the favor of all the Republican Party. I think most are distrusting of political outsiders; especially those they can't control. In my opinion he shook things up that needed shaking. We shall see how he matures as the leader of the free world. He definitely got the attention of the world and I am waiting to see what he does with it. I think he needs to stop watching the news and go investigate for himself.
  4. We do have a diverse group of folks here, Kalevipoeg. That includes you. I suppose it shows we also do other things besides watch naked girls paint each other. However, don't give up watching your favorite news sources, they are what give us our topics for discussion. BTW, Ben Shapiro made a good point at the Q & A portion of one of his speeches. He prefers the liberal-lefties to get in line first because it is far more fun to discuss things with them than the ones who already agree with him. This is why I try to avoid name calling (although I am still guilty from time to time); you can't exchange ideas if you are busy denigrating your opponent. I've even learned a few things from you even if I disagree with some of your politics.
  5. There has never been any evidence of that. Comey knew it a year ago and so did most democrats. Why Comey didn't close the case is a mystery. Trump was pissed for all the waffling Comey did in front of congress during the inquiries and the fact he exonerated Mrs Clinton when that wasn't his job; nor was it the truth about the case. You are just repeating the same rhetoric you hear on TV and calling people names who don't agree with you. A "special" tactic used, by the liberal left when they have no facts to back up their "feelings". Violence is also a tactic to silence those who don't go along with their agenda evidenced by the various UC campuses such Berkely.
  6. Nah! Unless you're the mafia (Italian or Russian). However, I think you were referring to the last statement in which I was inferring that the Clinton's have a reputation (not necessarily proven) of removing problematic people such Vince Foster and many others. Some before they moved to the White House. Also, I'm with Foamy T. here. One of the most horrifying tenets of being liberal left is "Pro-Choice" which says a woman can choose to terminate her pregnancy if it isn't convenient for her to carry to term. One of the stupid arguments they use for it is the case of rape. It is an outlier of the worst sort. Out or more than 300,000 abortions (murders) performed by the abortion clinics, less than 1% of these are due to rape. It is cheap and easy to be responsible during sex when you can pop down to any pharmacy or grocer and buy a dozen or so condoms for $15US; but it is an inconvenient truth for them. These folks seem to think they don't have to be responsible for their own behavior and killing the unborn isn't a problem for them.
  7. Is "cultural experience" the exposure to many flavors of yogurt because then I have it. At 13 my dick had several uses. During baseball games it was used for target practice by the batters...I was the pitcher most often.
  8. This is an old addage. "It now takes me all day to do what I used to do all day."
  9. Yeah yeah yeah. Several of the democrats were screaming for his head, very recently, for the Russia thing and Republicans were screaming for Hilary's head for, well, many things If I were Comey I would have already had my resume updated and my office cleaned of any non-essentials because after the Mrs. Clinton thing his days as Director were numbered. One of the most important pearls of wisdom held by most investigators is, NEVER make any comments about an ongoing investigation. Whether it is Mrs. Clinton or President Trump or anyone else, one should never give out any information that the subject of the investigation can use; or that the public can distort for their own particular arguments. Another reason you don't comment is that you may be wrong and then you'll just have a big mess to clean up. If Mr. Comey had kept his foolish mouth shut until the investigation was concluded, THEN handed out any appropriate indictments, he might still have a job. I personally believe he is lucky to still be alive.
  10. Do you think he might be calling for Worf (Star Trek)? No, wait, I got it. That is the sound the Covenant Elites (Halo 1-3) make when you start shooting at them and have to dodge.
  11. My taste buds recognize those whiskies; however my wallet sees only Rebel Yell.
  12. I wondered how many NK citizens would have to volunteer their arms for that?
  13. You didn't answer my question and why shouldn't I think you might be from Europe with that name? I might think Kalevipoeg might be from Denmark or Scandinavia or something. I might have been right...who cares. Everyone here, and other walks of life, give themselves a nom de plume which is significant to themselves in some way. What did I win? I don't even yet understand what set you off. Where is this lie? What did I fabricate? I think you just needed someone to rant at and picked me. Apparently you don't agree with something(s) I wrote. You aren't the first...and I am sure you will let me know if we agree on something.
  14. Mike, I never knew where you were from until now. I never really cared, and still don't. I was merely pointing out that the name Euromike implies Mike who has something to do with Europe. I knew it was a stretch but I tried to point out that folks are taking anything inaccurate or opinionated and blowing that out of proportion to "lie" status. Which is what you have done to me. I am free to give my opinions and conclusions and you are free to disagree or agree with them. Or even modify them a little to suit your sense of humor or honor or point of view or whatever. I have always tried to be polite and some of the things I see written here irritate me too but I can tell when someone is lying, opining, opinionating, or just misinformed. I assume you can too. So, since we have never been at odds before now, what is it specifically that set you off on me?
  15. EM, You are delusional. I don't even have cable TV...or an antenna. I do have a nice smart TV I resurrected from a yard sale and about 4TB of movies, music, and documentaries (some published and some yet to be). One is by a German videographer living in Berlin who wanted his American friends to know the unfettered truth about the immigrant problem in Europe since, during his last visit, he found that we were/are being mislead about some of it by our respective mass media sources). I have encountered many fruitcakes like you on the Uni campus where I work and I count them, as I now do you, as the rudest sort. They don't discuss, they call names and scream "lies!" though it may just be an error or opinion adjustable by discussion. If I have have quoted (or misquoted) anything from those sources it was mere coincidence; or possibly something of yours I read here. Although I wouldn't change the wording slightly and call it my own, I will admit some things I have said (or in this case written) have certainly been said before by folks more and less intelligent than I. You have chosen a path of belligerence and petty meanness. In fact, those fruitcakes use the same words as you as if they are scripted. Like you, they want you hear what they have to say without any reciprocity. And is usually accompanied by the most disrespectful diatribe imaginable. That is merely arrogant self-righteousness. The thing about China was my opinion but certainly not outside the realm of possibility or consideration, the thing about Saudi Arabia and the Clintons has been in the news and [in print]; some of it for years. It's sadly funny you never noticed. I suppose you also don't know that a HUGE sum of money (the entire "contribution" I believe) was pulled from CGI (Clinton Global Initiative), by the Saud Family ,et al (that's "and others" for those who don't read enough to know a little Latin) shortly after the election; more specifically, after Mrs Clinton lost. That they did it is a fact. Why they did it is a conjectural conclusion of my own. If you want to call it an "unsubstantiated lie" then you are welcome to misuse the term. I would prefer you became sane again instead. I read the stuff you have written here, and, though I consider some of it wrong I never accused you of lying, or trying to mislead me. Nor did I call you names; though right now the phrase "crazy spitting liberal" comes to mind. BTW You said "stick to the facts please and what is actually happening in this Country or worldwide" implying that you live in America. Considering your name is Euromike69, are you "lying" about who you are or is it just a moniker you came up with because sounds cool? The question is rhetorical and intended to point out that the over-used accusatory word "lie" has become rather tiresome. You are also wrong about my political leanings. I would be considered a card carrying Centrist/Independent/Greener (if that is even possible?)
  16. EM69 Please don't quote me if you have nothing relevant to add to the discussion. I am not the least bit interested in meaningless/open context GIFs or Will Smith's scripted lines in iRobot. Not that it matters but I don't have cable TV; just the internet. Sometimes I get exposed to the blathering idiots hosting those punditty shows when I visit friends and family but I take no sides but my own. I read a lot and watch documentaries - something I wholeheartedly suggest you try, some of which I don't agree with or have drawn differing conclusions and sometimes I learn something new. I also read what folks contribute here; even your diatribe (such as this). Sometimes I agree sometimes I don't. Either way, if I have something to add I write about it but I haven't the need to insult you nor do I need your approval of my opinions, though I do enjoy it when it happens. I learn nothing from this nonsense and I am sure you are using the moment to insult not inform or argue.
  17. I'm sorry Eagleb1. I should have made it a bit clearer that these people are practiced at the art of lying by omission. If they are asked questions they consider "none of our business" then right or wrong they will either not say anything pertinent or will mislead you. It has been the SOP for a long time. What I have learned is to listen to the person asking the question and then reading what I can find on the subject and then drawing my own conclusions. Sometimes, if I am lucky or good, the answer given by the director of whatever will either show me I am close or let me know that I should dig deeper.
  18. Here is one I know you have heard of. King Crimson...only old. Trey Gunn is playing the Chapman Stick, Pat Mastelotto is on drums, an aging Adrian Belew is the front man and guitarist, and of course the founder (from the late 60s) is Robert Fripp.
  19. WEll, this guy bills himself as Frank Zappa's stunt guitarist. AND, he actually was! Introducing Mike Keneally.
  20. Lots of good music here. HF and Woody, thanks. I'm pretty sure that y'all have heard of PMJ and maybe Aubrey Logan but Logan's voice control never ceases to amaze me.
  21. Thestarider addressed this already but I thought I might add that Director Comey did not pursue Mrs Clinton as he should have, after the election results, so his credibility, intentions, and opinions are questionable at best. The director of National Intelligence has been lying about their actions and intent for many decades so why believe them now?
  22. If President Trump wants to do business with Russia, what's the problem? As I understand, we have been working with the Russians in our space program for at least a decade now. We have oil trade and many other "relationship" building activities with them. Are they really any worse than China? They are certainly less dangerous to everyone around them than N. Korea. Kim Jung Un acts like a petulant child but a petulant child can still carelessly blow up their own house and burn down the neighbor's. Presentl,y I don't see the Russians as the enemy they were during the Cold War era. They still occupy an adversarial role in politics but then so does China. I am pretty sure that China tried to influence the elections in some way but no one is looking. Why? Because they own most of our debt. Saudi Arabia paid huge amounts of money to try and insure Mrs Clinton made it to the White House. Gone from the news now because of a failure to launch...er uh land. The Saud family may not be our enemy, overtly, but they are certainly not our friend. They have only oil as a natural resource, and no other export products, and would love to own the US. I will assert that Putin knows it would be much better and easier to do business with the US than try to manage (govern) a group of people (Americans) who would never tolerate any regime in Russia's past.
