Think economically. People want to see banging. Observing 'real life' is secondary. If it was Maya alone in the apartment and she started 'dating', we'd all tune in. I think you're reading too much into her actions. There's a camera in the bathroom hence, she goes ahead and takes care of business. I wouldn't expect her to go to the patio, out of camera's view, to attend to such needs. I'd be OK to say 'Leora will be taking care of feminine issues for the next few days". I suppose it is HOW its being said that makes it more palatable.
