I like you both. I think you both have good heads on your shoulders, as my Grandmother used to say. But, I have to go with Amy on this one. People hurl insults at tenants in this forum all time and then claim it's just their opinion. For example, if someone says that a tenant is undeserving of their partner and should get out of the relationship and leave the apt, unless you were raised under a rock, you know absolutely that is a rude and insulting comment. Yet, people have said exactly that and then claimed it wasn't insulting, it was just their opinion. Well, it may be their opinion, but that doesn't mean it's not also rude and insulting. Just because you can think it up doesn't mean it's appropriate to say it.

Yaaay!! Very glad to know that, but please don't misunderstand. I wasn't saying that you specifically had stopped posting larger pics. It was just a general, across the board observation. I hope you're having a great vacation.

I fully understand. My point was, even if you wanted to take the time to resize them, you'd never be able to get a post-worthy pic from a preview. I guess that depends on who you ask. I'm not sure what this means, but I have noticed that with more preview pics being posted, there are fewer larger pics of the same scenes being posted.

I know where they come from and I know how to do it. I played around with them some months ago before people started posting them. That's why I don't post them. These wallet/phone-sized pics, basically a half step up from a thumbnail, are just too small to discern any detail and it's impossible to enlarge them without immediate degradation of quality. I don't post them and I don't download them for that reason. If anyone knows how to enlarge them to a good size without loss of quality, or even improving the quality, I'm all ears, but until then they are useless to me and, apparently, others, as well. IMO, I would say most people view and, almost certainly, download pics on a computer, be it laptop or desktop or possibly even a large tablet, if they have enough space. For that reason, I prefer pics to be larger than these overgrown thumbnails. Preferably 720p, 1080p or better. By today's standards, I have a relatively small screen, just 17 in. at 1080p. That's why I love Jabba's pics, as one example. He has a much larger screen and his pics are usually around 2450 x 1400, give or take. Easy to view detail, easy to enlarge, if needed. For example, this is a preview-sized version of one of Jabba's posted pics: 640 x 362. If you right-click and save his pic, before you click to enlarge it, You'll get a pic that's 1000 x 561. A descent start, but not very good, size-wise. If you click once on his pic to enlarge it and then save it, you'll get the full-sized pic at 2462 x 1379. Now, if you view that pic at actual size, but not enlarged (zoomed), then take a fullscreen screenshot, this is what you get. Again, this is not an enlarged (zoomed) shot. This is actual size. And, with just 2 or 3 clicks in my photo viewer, I get this. Haziness gone, color and clarity improved. None of which were Jabba's doing. It could have been caused by lighting, a dirty lens, a low quality sensor or a combination of these or other things. I couldn't begin to get anywhere close to this quality with a preview-sized pic. And, to be clear, I just chose Jabba's pic as an example. there are plenty of others out there who post large-sized pics, from Arkay to Zoifan and many others in-between.

You have 30+ other VH apts about which to say what you like or dislike to your heart's content. But, as a favor to me, please, leave Clara alone.
