The voting machine creates a ballot, so if the machine switches votes the ballots will just show a vote for the person to whom the machine switched the vote. The machines need to be examined to see if they were programmed to switch votes.

A Federal judge has ordered that the Dominion voting machines of three counties in Georgia be impounded pending an investigation of the claim that the machines manipulated votes in the 2020 election.
