Why all of this concern about Immigrant children being temporarily separated from their parents,but very little concern about Black children being permanently separated from their parents in Chicago because the children are killed by gang violence?

I didn't know people like you considered any immigration illegal. Congress needs to pass legislation which will allow children to live with their parents in detention while claims for asylum are adjudicated. If the asylum claims are deemed to be legitimate,then the family can remain in the U.S. If the claims are found to be Illegitimate,then the whole family should be returned to their home country. DACA also needs to be resolved via legislation and not executive order.

Current U.S. law does not allow our government to detain parents and children together.When the adults cross our border illegally they are treated as criminals until they go through a legal hearing to determine if they qualify for asylum status.
