My cats will often randomly stare at the ceiling in my house from time to time. Also stare at various other inanimate objects - walls, chairs, etc. I'm convinced it's ghosts. In Butch and Sundance's case, it might be spiders on the ceiling, instead of flies. Remember the incident that happened with Nina when she was replacing the bedroom carpet. 😉 😄

As usual, I am late to the game. 😕 Thank goodness @bigmac18 was able to provide a play-by-play! I almost feel as if I were actually there! 😁

Alas, I disapprove of this post. I realize it was made in jest and in humor. I get it. BUT I very seriously doubt this is the exchange that N&K had concerning bananas. N&K love bananas, as I do, as should everyone, as they are an amazing source of great nutrition. Indeed, if you watch N&K as I do, you would know they love bananas, and fruit in general, like clementines and pears and apples and cherries and grapes, and nuts too. Always a bowl of fresh fruit on the coffee table. They eat very very healthy. Granted, I do enjoy watching when Nina and Kira consume a banana. They do like the large ones. Alas they both like them past their prime - namely when they have spots on them. SO, here's a little poll - how do you prefer your bananas?? I love bananas, but only when they are still slightly green on the rind. When brown spots start showing up, ehhhh... I'm kinda done with the banana. N&K enjoy the spotty ones. I doubt our girls really know what to do with a banana other than eat it, based on what we've seen of their clumsy performances with a 'marital aid' on a few recent occasions LOL God Bless them. I love them.

Oy, that sounds quite foul. Then again, Nina also digs for gold nuggets and consumes them, which is incredibly foul, so maybe that's just her "thing." Maybe Kira nibbled on her nips a little too hard one night and drew blood, and Nina was medicating it. I also understand that the ducts can get infected for one reason or another. Maybe a female member will chime in and give us a better answer.

Sorry my friend, but you'll have to establish yourself a bit more yet to earn that right. Read the N/K archives to learn more about Doe. Start at October 2014 and don't stop reading till you get to present day. See you in a few months. If it's Kira you want to see, I understand completely. Simply scroll up in this subforum. LOL sorry friend, I didn't mean to come across as flippant in my previous reply to you. You just picked the wrong apartment. Nina only spends about 9-10 hours on her phone. For 3-4 hours she is engaged in non-phone creative activities with Kira. The remaining 10 hours she is asleep. That is in stark contrast to the 22.5 average hours some of the other residents of RLC spend on their phones... jus sayin. 😉

Her band is still rockin. Just a little break for the moment. They can't perform 24/7/365. ☺️ Keep in mind how many different creative projects and pursuits they are engaged in. Nina's crocheting, Kira's poetry and composing, they did a 1000 piece puzzle of Venice, and they did a paint-by-numbers painting recently. Now they are on a cleaning and decluttering and re-organizing spree. That in itself will take weeks with all the crap they have stuffed in the nooks and crannies we aren't allowed to see. 😉 Don't worry, when inspiration strikes to make new music soon, you will hear our little songbird sing again. Remember - her music, her rules.

Thanks for your interest! The Federal regulations are rather tricky, but in the end, depending on your work week, the max is 14/11 hours, as long as you've had 10 consecutive hours off-duty prior and after. Everything must be logged. Some unscrupulous types have found loopholes around these regs, unfortunately, but it's too risky. I never drive for more than 11 hours straight, and never in inclement weather. Hence why I have a nice, cushy 86" sleeper cab. Anything over 11, I just pull over at a trusted c&p and put on my nightie. If needed, lot lizards know the signs. That's all I'll say on that. Best thing? For me? I enjoy my own company I guess LOL. I'm an IC, which means I work for myself, my own boss, make my own hours, pick the hauls I want, and trailer jockey when the pickins are slim. I like being on the road, controlling 80,000 pounds of machine, plus the community of OTR that only truckers know about. It's sort of like the community here on CC or RLCF, only through CB radio (yes, we still use them to this day lol). There are many handles I have yapped at on the box whom I will never likely meet and never know their true names. Sort of like here. Plus the diners, drive-ins, and dives. Can't forget about the food. Did you realize most truck stops nowadays offer vegan food? Back in the day when I was a sidesaddle, we would beat the shit out of some poor bastard who came in asking for an avocado salad. Nowadays we look and say, hmmmm, probably has cholesterol problems, and commiserate. And the BABES! The number of female OTRs has exploded astronomically from when I started. And that's a GOOD thing! Being a trucker is no longer a man's world, that's for damn sure, and I have much respect for these teeny tiny things that can pop a pogo or wrangle a wiggle wagon as if they were born to do it. Worst thing? Traffic. Traffic jams. Bridges. Four wheelers, roller skates, crotch rockets. Drivers who see the big yellow sign on the back of the trailer that states quite clearly "THIS VEHICLE MAKES WIDE RIGHT TURNS" and yet they still get as fucking close to the intersection as possible. Drivers who apparently never heard of the phrase "IF YOU CAN"T SEE MY MIRRORS, I CAN"T SEE YOU." Drivers who think 80k pounds can stop on a fucking dime when they cut in front of me trying to get one car length ahead to save themselves 1 second. Drivers who think we don't belong on the road even though truckers pay the majority of the goddamned taxes for this road we're both on. Drivers who.... ugh. I could go on and on and on, but I think you get the idea. But most days it's a very nice experience. Especially with Fred riding shotgun. Also nice to come home to a home after a long haul. I have no problems sleeping the required 10 hours then. 😉 Sorry to chat your eyes off.

That is always a concern, and a danger, not only for us drivers but for cute little roller skates like yours that might become victim to drowsy drivers. I always drive within DOT regulations, and my own limitations. One of the key factors for long haul is to have a great co-pilot. Which is why I have Fred the dog. 🐕

It's been amazing, indeed. They took a break tonight, because they were out late and Kira was tired. But yes, three out of the past four nights, double-whammies each time - who knew an extra cam could ignite such action! LOL
