Unfortunately I fall into both categories LOL but since she is obviously solid with her betrothed (plus I am in America), there's not much chance I have with option 2, but would be happy with option 1. I'd love to hang out with her and Eva in a St Petersburg bar and just trade stories. Kira has a business degree, and is the manager of Nina's band. She is also a FIDE accredited master at chess. She is also a published author, poet, lyricist, and photographer. Kira plays the guitar, the piano, and is at her best on the drums. Kira is very healthy - works out, eats right, doesn't smoke or vape. She is also killer in the kitchen, whipping up delicious delights in no time at all, which Nina greedily scarfs down. She loves animals. AND she has the unique ability to look absolutely beautiful right when she wakes up in the morning. Nina does not deserve this amazing woman. But perhaps I've said too much. Please, continue enjoying!

It was quite interesting to see Nina home this afternoon with her parents. First, I didn't expect Nina to be home so soon. I feel she should still be in the hospital. Second, the family dynamics are absolutely FASCINATING. Dad is your standard big deep-voice Russian businessman/breadwinner. He seemed quite fascinated with his IPad, showing Nina basic things he discovered (while Nina could probably hack into the Kremlin with a flip phone), and made himself quite at home on the couch (Dad has been there many times before). Mom Nina, definitely your typical fretting worrisome Russian mother, always shaking her head ruefully, fretting her brow, wondering where she went wrong with her daughter, yet they shared a tender hug in the bathroom. I finally get a sense of half the reason why Nina is so hard-headed and combative. And why Nina is absolutely devoted to Kira. Kira is neither of these personas. And, try as we might, don't we all wish to escape from being or becoming our parents? Especially before 30 years old. They packed up and left, and I had to close as well, but N&K returned the very second after I signed on again tonight (serendipity). Nina did not look any worse for wear, altho definitely a lot more subdued than usual. They were just chillaxin on the sofa, and soon time for bed. A quickie from Nina on her phone in the living room - obviously catching up on band stuff - then back to bed, and both snoozing like cats (or ducks). It was quite a rough and tumultuous start to 2019 for our girls. Oh, and С Рождество́м!

Again, all due respect - please take my comments with a grain of salt, as the saying goes. I know much less than you. But - I feel somehow this dialogue is backwards. Much confusion here. Yes, Kira works, but she does not sit at home. Why would she say that? Nina sits at home, rarely works outside the apartment, only on the band. Nina's response makes no sense as a retort. I will not go any deeper as to not divulge private information on either. If you check back in the forum about a month or so, you will see where I posted that Nina physically SHOVED Doe in the hallway - physically laid hands on her in an antagonistic way - and Kira had to come between them to break it up. No one seemed to comment on that episode. I feel, in my basic core, that everyone is chasing a rabbit down a hole. Including our beloved girls. Kira obviously is friends with Doe. Nina and Doe were once a thing, but now no longer. BUT - and you knew there would be a BUT - Kira wishes Nina would be more acceptive of Doe, and Nina feels that Doe is the problem. Does that make any sense? Kira is mad at Nina for not accepting Doe as part of their group, the Triumvirate, the Three Russkiteers, while Nina feels that Doe is a danger to her marriage and love with Kira, and wants to keep her away, and will invent stories or falsehoods to concrete that suspicion. Within the last few months, somehow, PRAVDA, the truth, has revealed itself. Much PRAVDA has been thrown about lately on both sides. Alas, none of us really knows of what truth is being spoken. Unfortunately, at this time, neither do Nina nor Kira. And who is left to suffer with the most wonder... but Doe. Is there in truth, no beauty?

Ha, very funny. Butch and Sundance are very in tune with their slaves. They know when there is an imbalance in the Universe (it's THEIR universe, after all, along with dolphins - so long, and thanks for all the fish!) and they do what their limited physical bodies enable them to do, which is look cute and playful. 9.9 times out of 10 this rights every wrong in the world. Have doubts? Just watch cat videos on You Tube.

And then there is the face Kira makes when she knows checkmate is in four moves. That is the face she has right now.

I agree, to a point. All due respect, but I would hardly classify Kira as a cold, hard woman now. She is confused and trying to work things out in her head. Just like what a master of chess would do. Indeed, I recognize that chess players, and Kira's near-Grand master ability, can be seen as cold and decisive, but I don't think Kira is playing chess with Nina. I believe she is playing life. Indeed, both girls could survive on their own merits alone, but could they survive on their own alone, without each other. I think not. Unless Kira were to come to USA and meet this really great drama-free truck driver. LOL

I've always thought Kira to be strong. Just reserved. A brilliant introvert. But yes, she has certainly grown and becoming more vocal in how their lives proceed. And Nina, usually the antagonist, has become the conciliatory one. Fascinating.

At least Nina has taken off her coat now. First Kira was going to run out, then Nina was going to run out. Now both talking quietly on the couch. Which is good because it is currently 25 F (-4 in C) and snowing in St Pete. Too cold to be outside. I like how Butch and Sundance are trying to be cute and playful to calm them both. They seem to know when trouble is in the air, and they don't like it.

Oy vey. Where to begin. First, welcome, new person. Second, DE is the short nickname for Doe Eyes. She is the third and integral member of the triumvirate of Nina, Kira, and Doe. She earned this nickname because she is absolutely beautiful, and her big, soft eyes remind us of looking at a doe, or a fawn. Eyes that you could swim in forever. Some call her Doe Eyes, some call her DE, I just call her Doe. She has rich history with N&K. She has been a source of joy and success, but also a cause of conflict between N&K. I don't want to be as brusque as @likidamber, but to get a real idea about Doe, you really do need to scour the archives. 4+ years is a lot to digest, but you will have a much clearer picture.
