The reason the cameras were removed or hidden was so that the people collecting the stuff could not see them and ask questions as to what was going on. I seem to recall Layne being questioned about his cameras once by a visitor and (quick thinking) he said a 24 hour lifestyle video was being made about him, which he could sort of get away with being a musician in a band at the time. 1
