They won't do it through socialism. Just because small mom & pops don't have a union to contribute campaign funding is no reason to continue to destroy them. I speak from experience. I live in a state where masks don't work. We must get vaccinated. But it doesn't work so we have to get vaccinated and still wear a mask. Even though the government told us to do both things, which is an admission it has no idea how to deal with us unless we can be forced to obey. That's the goal. I have taken the responsibility to protect my own health. It's my job. Not the governments: they are inconsistent and make no scientific sense. I have a right to my housing because I took responsibility to acquire a home and I earned it. I worked for years to accomplish that. I did not take it from others. I do not expect the government to control my health, housing, or even food. To do so would make me a slave to the government. It would also result in higher tax costs for others until they just gave up and became Atlas Shrugged. Open the goddamn economy. There was never a reason to close it in the first place. 1
